The issue for me was that it happened in the kitchen where food is prepared, if he had pants on before he sat on the stool I dont think it would have been such an issue, so I kind of understand where the others were coming from. Still I guess he was in pain, and by his own admission panicking. Pain could also explain his crankiness. He got a telling off, so time to move on.
