No Goggle Box. No Celebrity Big Brother.

Go back to being an electrician then? Or will Channel 5 give him his own series?

I wonder...:joker:

You can't replace Karl Pilkington's Idiot Abroad. It's a waste of time trying. It's not that hard to come up with a new idea for George... too late though!!! Now he's doing waste of TV time abroad.

Channel 4's Gogglebox is 'under threat' following a pay row between the show's stars and producers, a newspaper report has claimed.

The couch potato critics are said to be upset that their £15-a-night wage will not increase despite the programme's critical and ratings success.

Having pulled in 2.7 million viewers a week in a Friday night primetime slot and bagging a TV BAFTA this month, it is believed some cast members are keen to to earn a few more quid.

Geordie Goggleboxer Scarlett Moffat, 23, is quoted as saying the families only "get their leccy bill and takeaways" covered.

But another, anonymous, cast member is reported to have claimed that the payoff is the least they have ever earned.

It was also claimed that the Gogglebox cast are contractually prevented from appearing in other TV shows.

In the DS this morning that he's been approached to do a whole host of things.

Hiw favorite is to be a roving travel reporter akin to 'Idiot abroad'

I'll gladly chip in if it means him fupping off and never darkening these shores of ours again.

So who would have got the job if he wasn't there? Or do you mean the job has been created for him?

Bit in the DS today about the big bust between Edele and Stephanie and how George and Edele are going to be good friends for a very, very, long time.

FFS she's so transparent, like we couldn't see through her showmance ploy.

Go back to the day job or sign the dole. No one will want him in the entertainment business I for one will be switching off everytime his face comes on tv. Can't stand the sight of him and never want to see him on our screens again.

He has no talent from what I have seen:thumbs:

I totally agree, and this is just one of the reasons why I dislike the buffoon, the others being that he is a sycophantic two-faced, egotist - as he proved during his stint on CBB.

I have no problem with any individual who excels at his/her particular craft or trade, though I may not always agree with the excessive remuneration which they often receive, but I am confused and angered by the increasing trend which sees totally useless, talentless - and often downright abhorrent and unsavoury - non-entities become rich and famous for no tangible reason, while decent, hard-working, ordinary people struggle to keep their 'heads above water'.

This; 'Zero to Hero' phenomena is akin to a 'self-fulfilling prophecy' and is mainly attributable to the media, who thrust these insignificant nobodies into the public eye at every opportunity. I include among these; Dee Kelley, George Gilbey, Katie 'Jordan' Price, Kim Kardashian, Nicole 'Snookie' Polizzi, Jodie Marsh, Paris Hilton, Jade Goody, and Ricci Guarnaccio, among hundreds of others.

Nowhere but in the 'light' entertainment field could this phenomena happen because in every other field a lack of genuine talent is soon exposed and guarantees failure. In Singing, Boxing, Football, Acting, Snooker - you name it - real success and longevity is precluded by mundaneness.

I, for one, want to be entertained by genuine artists who have not only been blessed with real talent/skill, but who have honed that talent/skill by learning their craft and training until they are worthy of the term; 'professional'.

If I want to see ignorant, ordinary buffoons, I can stroll around town on any weekend night, or watch Jeremy Kyle.

This is my opinion.

Marsh.

I don't think Jodie Marsh counts. She was out first and hated.

I'd advise not watching "celebrity" shows too much if you're overlying concerned about "talent".

Go to the theatre or read a good book instead perhaps?

Funny how both his mam and dad are taller than him. By rights he should be taller than both of them.:conf:

£15 @ night or per showing is a pi55 take, not surprised they are kicking up a fuss.

Love Leon and the Posh couple on that show.
