If I made pizza dough from scratch today and there is a bit left over, can I cover it and put it in the fridge to use tomorrow or will it be unusable if I don't use it now?

I've kept pastry dough in the fridge and it's been fine the next day. I've never made pizza from scratch so haven't a clue how different the dough is.

it will probably rise loads, but I think you'll be able to flatten it and make another pizza with it

:amazed: I hope it will be okay, both of you sound positive so yay, thanks!

Careful, it will "rise" in the fridge due to the air pressure and when you go to cook it it will explode due to the trapped air. You need to prick it with forks before taking it out of the fridge to remove excess air.

No as it will effect the texture too much and push the air further in.

:umm2: How can air get pushed further in if you pop it out?
