X FACTOR favourite Leona Lewis won’t win because she is black, her mum claims.

Marie, 42, said her mixed race daughter would lose out to Ben Mills, 26, if they made the final as viewers prefer white acts.

She added: “There’s never been a black reality show winner in Britain. Racism does play a part. How else can you explain Dionne going so soon?

“Ben can fit easily in.” But Marie, who is white, revealed America is already interested in Leona, 21.

I think that's backfired, I think that was probably meant to make people vote for Leona to spite the evil mother, but I think that'll just make people disgusted. Personally I want Leona to either win, or at least make the final and do well, because she's got a fantastic voice, is very pretty and can keep an audience entertained!

im just saying from an obserber,im sure that theres not anyone racist on this forum,because its fround upon here.

But the fact that Leona is even just a girl is gonna be goin against her.The brittish voting public ARE sexist.

the same with most shows (BB probably being the exception as the HMs are usually regarded as "Freaks" anyway,being its ok for a gay man etc to win as the public dont see them as "real" people,thus making them unthreatning),

but gay,lesbain,Black people and foreigners in general have alot of resistance to go against when it comes to talent shows etc.

I don't think the public will vote for Ben because they are sexist. They will always vote for who they like. It was the Girls who won battle of the sexes on Pop Stars the Rivals and Kate Lawler won Big Brother so females can get votes.

I just think comments like her mums can stir up friction and I think it was stupid of her mum to come out with that.

majority of the shows the show a minority in support...of...well..Minoritys.And its a fact.

I remember when in CBB when Traci was told because she was an African American Woman,she was never gonna win since the start,and she got upset.It was true,her fate was sealed since the start.

I think maybe coz im a tiny bit older and an actual minority that i am more suseptable to public views.Im not pulling rank or anything,and completly commend your oppnion,because it shows respect and a Kind heart behind it:thumbs:
