Only a few days to go, it will take a lot to top the GOAT European performance of 2012

The ryder cup doesn't even make sense. It takes 27 countries to compete against just 1 country America?

and entire continent to compete against 1 country?

Something tells me the cards are stacked against Americans. If Europe can pick a team from 27 countries, then America should also get to choose from the same 27 countries.

It makes no sense. it would be like Brazil having to compete against all of Asia. China, India, Japan, and all of the asian countries.

how is that fair at all??

Its all about history. The first 22 Ryder Cup matches were Great Britain and Ireland against the United States. It was only from 1979 that Europe was included (mainly because it was a bit one sided!).

Well I think GB and Ireland have sufficient talent now that they don't need all of Europe to supplement them, I think it should go back to just the USA vs. the British Isles.

If Russia is allowed to join Europe, then America gets to include all of the countries from the Americas, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Chile, all of the countries in the Americas and the Carribean. We get to include 28 countries of our choosing.

Two blokes from Nothern Ireland & Spain getting along better than a whole team of Americans, funny old game.

King Gizzard
28-09-2014, 10:56 PM
it was a bit odd how they appointed someone who's playing days were long gone though, even if he is a 'legend', probably part of the whole 'team spirit' thing of the Europeans is appointing someone who is still playing himself, albeit him not being anywhere near Watson in terms of success, but there was obviously a gap between Watson and the players

King Gizzard
