it was alright. i kept the tv on in the background when the crazy ass marathon it had over here a few years ago when it was syndicated on Nick at Nite. one go through was enough.

hard to say what i think is the greatest sitcom of all time. i didnt like Seinfeld either and that been called that as well as Friends. though i love Curb Your Enthusiasm which is funny since Larry David created Seinfeld.:joker:

i was just thinking about the new Dumb & Dumber movie coming out and how the first was 20 years ago earlier today. watched a trailer and its like those guys didnt lose a step.

[Joey has packed an emergency kit with food, Mad-Libs and condoms]

Chandler: Condoms?

Joey: We don't know how long we're gonna be stuck here. We might have to repopulate the world.

Chandler: And condoms are the way to do that?

--------------------

Phoebe: So let's say I'm the interviewer and I'm meeting you for the first time. Okay. Hi. Come on in, I'm uh, Regina Philange.

Chandler: Chandler Bing.

Phoebe: Bing, what an unusual name.

Chandler: Well you should meet my uncle, Bada.

[pause]

Chandler: I'll let myself out.

-----------------------------

[Re: "If you had to give up sex or food, which would you pick?"]

Monica: Sex!

Chandler: Seriously. Answer faster.

Monica: I'm sorry, sweetie. When she said "sex" I wasn't thinking of sex with you.

Chandler: It's like a big hug.

Phoebe: Ross, how about you? Sex or food?

Ross: Sex!

Phoebe: What about sex or dinosaurs?

Ross: My God, it's like Sophie's Choice.

Phoebe: Joey, if you had to give up sex or food, which would you pick?

Joey: I don't know it's too hard.

Rachel: Come on, you have to answer.

Joey: Okay... sex. No, food. No, uh... I want both! I want girls on bread!

Yeah Ross became the best around season 4 and was the best by some distance by the end, most of the best episodes towards the end were the ones that revolved around him. David Schwimmer was probably the best actor as well, played it perfectly

Ross is the worst omg

This.

I liked him during his breakdown after Emily with the sandwich stuff, that was funny but he went from a whiny, stuffy smart arse in the beginning to a whiny, whingy idiot in the later seasons. Hated him.

Phoebe was always my favourite. Some of her one liners still make me crack up.

Friends is just comfort telly really, it's been repeated too often to be funny. Still great for background TV though.

Personally I always thought Frasier was better.

:worship:

i've been rewatching that from the start (I have the boxset), i'm on season 7 now so it's all about to go downhill (when Niles & Daphne get together) but there're still some classic episodes this season:

- The one where Frasier takes his dad to the opera, sees a girl he likes, and tries to hook his dad up with her mum to win her favour, only for Martin to pretend to be gay and get set up by their friend instead
- The one where Antiques Roadshow comes to town and they take Martin's tacky clock only for it to be worth $25k because it was stolen from the Russian royal family
- The introduction of Dr. Mary

hands down.

Seasons 1-4: 1) Chandler 2) Phoebe 3) Rachel 4) Joey 5) Ross 6) Monica (but she's at least OK at this stage)
Seasons 5-7: 1) Chandler 2) Ross 3) Rachel 4) Phoebe 5) Joey 6) Monica
Seasons 8-10: 1) Ross 2) Rachel 3) Phoebe 4) Chandler 5) Joey 6) Monica

Monica was good in the earlier ones, she was probably the most normal of them all and quite likeable but then she got way too OCD and shrill as it went on

agree. i can actually still watch re-runs of that when its on in the morning. if im up lol

loved the part in that murder episode how they say murder. its just hilarious. Frasier and Niles overreactions are great.

any show thats considered the best is gonna be overrated even if it actually is a good show since its all subjective.
