Or will he continue to make our team unbalanced and drop our best players so Robin can continue to stink up the place like he has done for the last 18 months

I called it during the summer the real test of LVG would come in regards to how he handles the situation with Robin and so far he has failed miserably

We were up 2-0 and 3-1 and attacking fine with him in there so I'm not fussed about the attack.

Also "RIP" must be the worst attempt at humour ever from you, which says a lot.

Do you even watch the games LOOOOL. Robin did **** ALL ONCE AGAIN. He has turned into Gashley where every time we are on a fast flowing counter attack he gets the ball and holds onto for 10-15 seconds going nowhere and kills all momentum. His only contribution was his goal which was handed on a plate to him and even then his header was going closer to the corner flag then the goal.

And looool at your football manager reasoning about us scoring goals which means he is working well. Aside from doing **** all the whole game if he was rightfully dropped as he should be we would have one up top it would mean Mata, Rooney and Di Maria can all play behind Falcao (who did more on the weekend then Robin has done for 18 months) thus solving the issue of no protection for our full backs and also allowing Herrera to play in CM smg

RIP=Robin is Pants no humour intended

As for Wayne he is fast becoming nearly as much as a problem as Robin. Another who LVG is pathetically trying to shoehorn into our team but the fact remains he is useless everywhere bar up top so play him there and bench him. This nonsense of massaging his ego needs to stop

Brother Leon

I'm a lot more worried about the defence. Evans,Smalling are both trash.

I'll leave you to waffle though.

While I agree that RVP is not in the best of form right now, he is the least of our problems.
Robin played a lot at the World Cup & has not yet hit top form. I would still give him 6 or 7 matches before dropping him.
Our defence is truly shocking. No team should ever be 1-3 up & lose 5-3.
LVG should be looking at that rather than the strikers.
Why no Shaw ?, even if LVG does not rate him he should play. Let's not flush another 30 mil down the toilet like we did with Fellaini.

Yes are defence is rubbish but you are missing the major point. By shoehorning Robin into the team instead of benching him and playing Falcao up top by himself we are weakening an already weak defence by unbalancing the midfield in front of them.

Either way you look at it Robin is a big problem

Brother Leon

I love how you bring up the 18 months bs like Robin still didn't give us our only two moments if last season(1-0 Arsenal and 3-0 Vs The Greeks).

WTF so he should be applauded for putting in two performances over 5/10 in 18 months lol please go. If I remember correctly he also missed sitters in those Olympiakos games home and away aswell

First Tony then Gashley and now Robin if a player deserves to be dropped he deserves to be dropped put your pathetic bias aside

Brother Leon
23-09-2014, 09:07 PM
No...I'm just clearly telling you that the 18 months doing nothing isn't the case..especially when the whole team sucked for Moyes bar DDG. While I would prefer Mata starting I don't think RVP is anywhere near the main problem. A solid defense and that same attack against Leicester gets the job done.

Legend killer
24-09-2014, 07:54 AM
But we don't have a solid ****ing defence so we have to do the best we can to cover it up as much as possible with a balanced formation in front of it

Which means dropping RVP and playing Falcao up top by himself. If RIP was even playing at an average level maybe he could be the one up top but sadly he would struggle to get in a sunday league team so needs to be dropped ASAP

Tarryn

LVG should tell RVP to do his bit & fill in as a defender until January.
That way, he is not dropped & has to do a lot of work.
Let's face it, could RVP really be any worse than the defence we already have ?

Judging by how he is "performing" up top I would most certainly say yes guy has been playing like straight trash with his sulky ass attitude making it even more annoying

He's hardly hated by our fans. The guys name is sung at every game as loud as anything bar the Falcao chant. He gave up legendary status at your club to be a champion and he done that.

Listen to Louis van Gaal on Robin van Persie and the impression given is hardly that the striker is fighting to retain his place in the Manchester United XI. The manager is confident that although his Dutch compatriot has scored only twice for him at United, the 31-year-old requires only luck to rediscover his prolific form.

Yet Chelsea’s arrival at Old Trafford on Sunday may be a last chance to prove himself before Wayne Rooney’s return from a three-game suspension for the trip to Manchester City for the derby in the following match.

Van Gaal is backing Van Persie to score against José Mourinho’s side and he could certainly use a goal, although Radamel Falcao, Juan Mata, Adnan Januzaj and James Wilson also factor into this equation as the manager decides who should form his front three. Given that Rooney has what Van Gaal has called “special privileges” as captain and that Falcao was the club’s star signing of the summer, if Van Persie continues to misfire he may come under threat.

The former Arsenal striker has appeared sluggish so far, his two goals coming in seven starts. But Van Gaal still believes he is seeing the best of the man he appointed his Holland captain.

“I think he is more fit than ever,” said the manager. “He don’t score so much. In the Dutch team he has scored more than now for Manchester United and then he was not so fit as now. That’s remarkable, but he scored in [almost] every game for me in the World Cup in spite of maybe his 80% fitness. He scored four goals out of six games and then also a penalty. So maybe now he is playing better but doesn’t score as much.”

Van Persie’s two goals this season came in consecutive outings – in the 5-3 reverse at Leicester City and the 2-1 home win over West Ham United – towards the end of September. On Monday evening, though, as United trailed 2-1 at West Bromwich Albion, Van Persie showed a flash of quality when using his weaker foot. “He’s a little bit unlucky, like against West Bromwich Albion when he shot with right foot – it was hard to believe that that shot stayed out of the goal,” the manager said. “So a striker needs also a bit of luck and then the confidence is higher but he’s self-confident so I expect he shall score and maybe against Chelsea.”

So far Van Persie has remained injury free, which is a fillip after previously admitting to managing persistent issues for years. Perhaps this is why Van Gaal mentioned his fitness this term. Yet sooner or later age and his fragile physique will catch up with him.

Last season Van Persie suffered nine separate injuries but still managed 12 goals in 18 Premier League starts. In the previous, title-winning year there were 26 in 35. These figures may be why the manager is adamant his star forward is not past his peak. “He has showed that at the World Cup and is showing that now except scoring goals but that is only a matter of time,” said Van Gaal before outlining Van Persie’s all-round contribution. “Every striker has to be at the attacking point. He has to play with the other 10 players. That is also important. That he is now doing better than in Dutch team.”

Van Gaal meanwhile believes that Diego Costa will appear for Chelsea. The Spain striker has a continuing hamstring issue and has been ill this week. But Van Gaal believes Mourinho will start him. “I think that he shall play with him when he can because he wants to win. Of course he can play. He has trained individually, I have heard, I have read on the websites. I also have my eyes always open. He has scored nine out of seven, that is remarkable, so he is in a good shape I think but he was ill so you never know.”

Ángel di María injured a thigh at West Brom but Van Gaal confirmed that he and Ander Herrera, who was also replaced, were available. “Ander was already fit and, with Di María, I said after the match that normally it [the injury] should not be so heavy and it’s not heavy.

“So he has trained. It was only the first day that he didn’t train so he has trained from Thursday, no problem. I let Michael Carrick play this evening in London for the reserves [at West Ham] because I believe that he needs that.”

CRINGE Louis must have been watching our matches with RIP's vag blocking his view

Thank **** he scored but let's not act like

A. WAS A SITTER WHICH COULD NOT BE MISSED

B. Couldn't be bothered to stay on post and cost us Chealsea's goal

C. AGAIN missed chance after chance

However did look a tiny but sharper NOT HARD REALLY but we can't afford to be carrying players which we are with him and have done for some time

He was crap most the game and basically at fault for the goal tbh, won't see much more pathetic goal line defending than that, looked like he was actually trying to nod it into his own net
