Loud singers being classed as great just for being loud? I know that I was a fan of Luke Friend and Hannah Barrett last year but they did have nice tones to their voices and they didn't always sound pained every time they sung.
I mean tonight Kerriane, Lola, Chloe Jasmine, Steph, and Lauren was loud, straining, and no nice tone to their voices at all, give me Monica and Kayleigh anyday of the week.

Monica was good but her boot camp performance was the weakest

I got tired of it years ago, when pretty much every female singer was singing that "and I am telling you" song.

overdone songs are the worst like that recycled emeli sandé one again tonight :fist:.
Monica has a gross personality though; she'd have that whole bully/chav tag like some of the previous girls have had.

When I compare singers of the past to singers of the present although there are good and bad in all periods.
It does seem in auditions now for anything, that even when singing a gentle song, the norm is to almost scream and screech through it in parts,in order to win cheers and applause from the audience.
It is annoying and some songs do not require such a performance and are in fact enhanced by,as the singer is too, just doing the song the way it was written to be sung.
Not overdone,just sang,properly.
It's been the same for years now, as soon as a higher note is hit the crowd go mental
