It's got a lot of casting duds, but it's got the old school editing (which makes it instantly superior to most seasons IMO) and a handful of good characters (Jun, Alison, Jee, Dana, Jack isn't my cup of tea but he's very popular).

The Sovereign 6 has to go down as one of the worst alliances in history. If you count Ashlea and Michael (who were partners of Sov 6 members) then a team that had 8 people were dominated by a team that had 6, not to mention Kaysar getting two chances.

If Howie isn't a complete buffoon and doesn't go after James and instead votes out Maggie, then Maggie is gone and Kaysar comes back and if Kaysar isn't an idiot then he wins HOH and sends out possibly Ivette then you've got 6 against April, Jen and Beau.

James was a great player and Janelle showed in season 7 that she was good as well, but damn that alliance was terrible.

As for Maggie, she was easily a deserving winner. She controlled Howie's votes pretty easily and she surrounded herself with people that had big mouths and liked to argue whereas most of the time Maggie just kept her mouth shut.

I wasn't a fan of season 6 so much, but I understand the love that it gets. It's one of the only seasons where it was half of the house against the other side of the house and every competition was important to see which side had power. Unlike other seasons where one person wins HOH and everyone respects the HOH decisions.

I liked James. I liked Jennifer once I realized she was actually there (I didn't even notice she was on the show until she won her HOH, but she was awesome in her HOH week).

I thought the friendship was ok. I couldn't stand their love for Eric, who was a bit of a douche and I never liked April all that much. Her husband was pretty weird when they interviewed him. I'll never forget him saying "I'm not fat, I'm big boned. OKAY!" and something like "Hey Howie, you want some of this, huh?" while grabbing at his stomach. Insane person.

Ivette was racist towards Kaysar, Kaysar tried squaring up to Ivette (after being told he has no respect for women, ironically), Beau tried fighting with a girl also, Janelle attempted to attack Beau and cheated on her boyfriend with absolutely no care in the world apparently, Maggie said disgusting stuff about patients without insurance just needing to die or something, Rachel was horrifyingly self-entitled, Eric attacked Kaysars religious beliefs, Michael said disgusting **** about one of Erics deceased grandparents and don't even get me started on that dumb asshole Howie and his bullying which was somehow made into a positive edit for him.

Ironically, Jennifer is possibly the second most hated houseguest of that season just because she played the game, followed by April who was just kindof a neurotic mess (<3) and its such a mind**** to me considering how awful 2/3rds of the houseguests were.

THANK YOU LJ ONCE AGAIN :worship: I know a lot of it is definitely the time period, and a lot of things that were okay ten years ago are definitely not okay now, but some of the stuff that was said and done was truly horrid. Like you said, Howie is truly a tedious and asinine bully and it's disgusting that he somehow got a positive edit out of it. His and Michael's treatment of women would *not* go unnoticed in a modern day BB, know that. Also, Janelle's story about giving fake money to a homeless person just shows that even the "best" person in a BBUS cast is nominally a horrible person. Except Jen Johnson.
