School friends....

..for those who have left school, do you still keep contact with your old school friends..does your school/class have school reunions...do you go/have you been...?...etc....



...and for anyone still at school, maybe tell us about your friends/if you want to....

Left school 6 years ago (wow.. can't believe that) and my two best friends now were my two best friends in high school.

Not in contact with my other 3 best friends from high school but that's more out of choice with 2 of them, they didn't end up being the best of people. And I was put in a different class from all of my primary school friends when I first went into high school, so I stopped being friends with them during it.

My best friend is someone I met at school *although she was the year above in another school). We met when she went out with one of the boys in our "group".

I still have a group of about 6 friends from school and we meet up a few times a year which is great as a couple of them live down south now.

Still keep in touch with 4 friends from school, we have a couple of meals together a year.

I've just started a college course with someone i used to be friends with at school, we joked that we mustn't sit together as we may be split up:laugh:

The three people I spend most time with now I did go to school with though one of them only in primary school. I've stayed friends with most the people from our larger group at school but it's too difficult to see them more than once every few weeks really, large friend groups do tend to fragment into smaller ones I guess once you stop seeing each other every day and when people move away etc.

Probably start to lose touch with more people from now though when its getting to that stage where people get proper jobs and move away from our local area for good

I still see one of my friends regularly (during holidays and when he's not at uni), I saw another one a year or so ago but that sort of faded out, another moved away and the others I just lost touch with.

Only keep in touch (and see) one person and that's my closest friend of 8 years. Never really got a bond like that with anyone else in school. So naturally other friendships never lasted beyond school.

Only graduated from university a few months ago and already none of us keep in touch.

Still friends with everyone from school/uni on social media though so we all kinda know what eachother is up to.

The only person I keep in contact with from primary school is a friend who moved to Australia when we were still kids. I found him after quite a long time and we exchange emails and pictures. The rest of them I never want to see again unless it's so I can laugh at and enjoy their failures, their regrets and their bad luck. Apart from that they can all do one.

My friends from Year 7 to early year Year 9 I've broke contact with completely. Most are in prison for a while regardless. My a Friends from the rest of Year 9 to Sixth Form I am still tight with up to now.


Oh. And I got a small circle of two guys and a girl that I've known since Nursery and our families are all close too.

I'm still good mates with 2/3 out of a gang of about 10 of us, the rest have either moved away or we've just drifted, nothing negative. I now also have friends who were in school with me but I didn't really bother with when I was there.

Not in contact with anyone from school. I was very much an outsider.

Still in contact with a few that I met during my school years, but from outside hobbies, mostly my performing arts friends...I have a small, close circle of friends, I'm not really one for acquaintances and shallow friendships.

Funny though, a school acquaintance is now my daughter's boss...she remembers me clearly and told my daughter that ppl at school were too "scared" of my energy to try to get close...I *was* the one at Grammar School with a pink mohawk though that argued with the headmistress that it was for my next part in a play and got away with it. I also persuaded my French conversation tutor to come and sit on the roof with me to converse in French whilst smoking Gauloises...not really surprised I didn't make too many friends ;)

Not really once they all swanned off to university. Have 3-4 of them on FB but only really talk to one of them, and that's occasionally

Alot of them I didn't really talk to again after the last day of school which is odd

tbh i still speak to everyone i was friends with at school. I've made loads of new friends since leaving school though, but I still act exactly the same as soon as i see them again.

I only regularly speak to two, some I haven't seen since the day I left. Not having facebook to keep in contact didn't help but meh.

I lost contact with all my primary school friends apart from 3 when i went to highschool, but never really stayed close, just stayed in contact every now and then.
Then the friends i had in highschool i stayed friends with in college, until the majority of them turned into woman hating bullies, so i stopped speaking to them once i dropped out of college.. then i've recently lost contact with my best friend because his girlfriend somehow managed to turn him against me, so now i speak to about maybe, 3 or 4 of my high school friends/acquaintances.

Left school 4 years ago... Was in a big group, only talk to 2 today. A few months ago a guy from the group contacted me confessing his feelings towards me but that lasted a couple weeks. :laugh:

I wouldn't go to a reunion since our school is no longer open + never cared for my class. Just those 2 girls are worth keeping in my life.
