I find it impossible to do that, I'd hate to wake up in the morning faced with a pile of dishes that needed to be cleaned, so i bung them in the dishwasher and do it straight away so everything is done.

Dishwasher.
But we rarely properly unload it. We just take stuff out we need and then replace it when it's dirty and do another wash. :hehe:

We have a dishwasher. But usually make sure it's filled up at night and leave it overnight washing.

if I'm in the mood yeah, but otherwise no, I'll just leave it until the morning when I'm feeling more awake.

Nope, I am perfectly happy to leave dishes until the next day. Both me and my OH have jobs where we don't get home until gone 1900 most days (I was 22.30 yesterday) and we always cook from scratch, although a couple of days a week we will start the slow cooker in the morning.
So by the time we have cooked and eaten, it'll be close to 9, we are knackered, and just want to watch something funny and go to bed...06.15 to get up. Plates we will put in the dishwasher, but pans and knives are always left for who gets home first the following day. (Soaked ofc ;) )

I don't have many dishes as I live alone.
I only have two knives and one fork in the kitchen drawer, so I have to wash them when required. ;)
I have a load of plates but I don't like them to mount up dirty.

Never ever eat before 9pm so they always get left - I soak them in the morning and OH washes up when he gets in from work around 4pm ( a postie he's up early) and tomorrows are just out there waiting

I like to leave it tidy-ish even if the dishes aren't washed and put away. I don't stress about it, as far as I know, nobody has ever said on their deathbed "I wish I'd done more housework".

Mine just sits there like a dead white box. I really should dump it and utilise the space

I usually wash the dishes, pots and stuff after dinner, then before I go to bed I'll do what ever there to do. I don't mind washing dishes.

When I was at Uni and shared with others, this really annoyed me at times.
When I went to bed I liked to make sure nothing was left, unless I had been out really late.
I always ensured they were dealt with on getting up the next day however.

..neither do I and my friends are always...OMG, WHAT...?!!!!!...but like Claudia, I actually find it quite therapeutic and after family meals, everyone seems to gather in the kitchen to wash up together and it's when some of the best conversations take place....but yeah, sometimes I do leave them if there has only been me eating and there aren't many, I might do them in the morning but I never leave them if there are lots....

Dishes have cause riots here... we all hate it and we have no dishwasher, I don't like leaving them though as it's 100% worse when the water is cold and greasy :shudder:

I'm making an application for Gyps to come and lodge with me. I have a comfortable room for her. Anyone who finds washing dishes therapeutic needs to be treasured. I wonder if she finds ironing therapeutic too...? Anyway, I'm not asking you because Mr Ammi would probably want too much money to let you go.

That's all well and good Ammi, but who's going to do the ironing? It's not going to do itself, you know. Oh and the windows, I hate cleaning windows. I bet Ninastar's good at that stuff...
