View Full Version : A Fix

I'm now convinced The X Factor is a fix.

My reasons:

1. The McD's magically manage to stay each week. Oh, what controversy.

2. Each judge is now left with 2 acts each. Oh, how convenient.

3. Sharon and Louis voted for a different act. Simon has the final decision. Oh, how nailbiting.

4. For the past two years, each judge has had one act each in the final. You can bet that it'll be the same this year. Oh, how convenient.

I'd love someone to persuade me otherwise, although you'd forgive me if I'd already made up my mind.

Don't get me wrong, I wasn't fond of Nikitta, but I think it's unfair for all of the contestants to be taking part in a "contest" in which the outcome has clearly already been decided.

Well done ITV, more millions in yours and Simon Cowell's bank balances.

I agree with that!
I knew it was a fix as soon as Ashley went last week, when he was one of the favourites to win it a week before, very very strange :nono::sad:

1. The McD's magically manage to stay each week. Oh, what controversy. They seem to have support in Scotland and I've seen more support for them on forums of late, might not be a lot of people's cup of tea but they seem to have a loyal fanbase

2. Each judge is now left with 2 acts each. Oh, how convenient. It was not like that at this stage last year.

3. Sharon and Louis voted for a different act. Simon has the final decision. Oh, how nailbiting.I pretty much predicted from the comments how they would vote.

4. For the past two years, each judge has had one act each in the final. You can bet that it'll be the same this year. Oh, how convenient. There were only 2 acts in the final in the first year and last year the top 3 were always popular

Ashley was in the bottom 2 the previous week, he just did not have people voting for him.If it was a fix Simon wouldn't want to lose to him and it's not like he was a huge fave like Leona/Ben.

I couldn't agree more. I've said the thing about how they'll all have the same number of acts left before, I think. Lemme go search my post history. xD

EDIT:

Here's the quote!

It's a bit like Popstars: The Rivals if you ask me, does anyone remember that? Remember how Javine was always considered a really talented singer and a dead cert to get into the band and then just suddenly drops out? And remember how Cheryl Tweedy was always close to being kicked off and then just amazingly makes it into the band, first one through? It's more than obvious to me that Eton Road are going to drop out before the MacDonald Brothers will, because the MacTwunts are clearly pulling in the votes from the teenaged girl population. And as Tom has said, there is obviously going to be one Simon act (Leona), one Sharon act (Ben) and one Louis act (MacTwunts). So, a prediction:

Ray will go next week as he will pull off another swing performance (a sacrificial lamb, so that it looks like Simon is going to lose his 4th act in 4 weeks to boost Leona votes), then Robert will go (because he will be 'the weakest act left') and Ray and Robert will both be in the bottom 2 with somebody really strong, like Eton Road or Ben, because we don't want Leona, the golden girl, or MacDonald Brothers, the girl magnets, to get an overdose of votes. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, Eton Road will perform a song that really doesn't suit them, and they'll plunge out, probably going up against Leona or the MacDonald Brothers, depending on who Simon wants to win. And then we'll get to the final, and Ben will come third, and Leona/MacDonald Brothers will win, depending on who will make the most money for Simon.

Ta-Da! I just predicted the X Factor!

You have to vote more to try and keep Ray out of the bottom 2!

that's exactly why i dont watch it, and what makes me even more mad is the fact that all that money with the voting goes to simon's wallet and XF probs has more voters than SCD and SCD is for charity

Exactly. I've been thinking the same thing. Its soo pathetic sometimes, and it was bloody obvious Louis and Sharon would pick two different acts to send home, just so Simon would have the casting vote. They probably think its great drama .

Louis has been on at Ray to change so that was obvious and Sharon seems to like Ray and criticised Nikitta in the past so it was hardly a big suprise and not just a way of leaving the final decision to Simon.

It does seem terribly covenient doesn't it? I hope and pray that some of the acts I really liked who left come back with a bang. It's true that not everyone can win but some of them should definitely have been given a chance over others, IMO anyway.

I never vote in the X Factor, seems a waste to me now.
