View Full Version : This series wasn't even that bad?

Looking back, I don't think this series was even that bad. Great final result, a good mix of funny moments, memorable moments and arguments. Pretty decent set of housemates, the only downfall I think there was: lack of live feed, overly edited footage and bad eviction order/reliance on twists.

The Production let it down massively, it could of been saved with not having like 6+ people up every week

Poz-Toya-Matthew boots were real bad and Angel Danni/Slutty Bi going was the nail in the coffin.

Minute of silence for all of those evictions ?

Nope it was pretty awful. A solid two-thirds of the cast at minimum sucks, production was a joke with all the twists and ~power trips~ that made the nomination process completely pointless, and Biannca/Pav/Zoe are well in contention for most banal intruders ever. The season wasn't enjoyable from the word go but good god it became so offensively boring once the intruders were put in.

And the final result sucked, if only because it's validation for Ash/Steven/Winston/whatever other asshats like Helen for reasons that are well beyond me.

Nah I have to disagree. Worst cast ever, worst twists ever, most manipulation in a series, no live feed. Literally everything was wrong with BB15.

My biggest problem with it was the constant interference and trying to cause arguments instead of things developing a bit more naturally

It gets worse each time, I personally do not like the constant interference and back stabbing caused by the powers that be. For me BB has had its day it causes to much negativity.

it started off well but it went downhill quickly. the cast were just so unlikeable as well, to this day I could honestly only say I liked about 5 of them.

I agree, it wasn't as bad as people are making it out to be, it could have done with a lot less manipulation and interference, but overall it was quite good really imo.

Well Toya's exit (as much as i hate her) was the beggining of the end, Ash should've went that week and after Matthew and Jale went home it got worse. Danielle's exit just finished the season. Still better than bb14

Marlon needed airtime as toya was evicted.
Jale was evicted because of the ashleigh campaign and she became friends with helen and that was downfall, she didn't bring much to the show just the bully victim card

BB11 could have been one of the best series of all time had the right people made it to the end

As for BB15, Pauline should have stayed longer.

What can i say? i have a thing for Australians :flutter:

But away from that, the mix of people was one of the best I've seen, the natural drama that happened, the humour, it was head and shoulders above any that C5 have produced so far imo.

It had a strong opening but there were too many dullards overall and Ben, Caiomhe, Corin and Shabby left too early.

BB13 and BB14 were both better by far..

The eviction order of 11 was good imo, apart from the quadruple, that's what killed it off and made the final the dullest in history.

The only eviction i'd change of BB15 was Toya's, she left way too early, it was a travesty and Steven should have left earlier than he did.

It was the production decisions that let it down not the housemates

And another thing which frustrated me was the public who seemed to change their mind, they voted out all the entertaining people in the first few weeks but then ended up keeping the top 2 entertaining people until the final 2...

That's because the production or the theme power trip put them up for example if there was no theme, Pauline, Toya, Matthew wouldn't of been up, and Danielle wouldn't of gone because of there wasn't a newbie Power Week and I guess you could say Jale too but idc about her

that's the difference between vote to save (effectively) and evict.

It was a good series that deserved more recognition than it got. Better than the God awful Celebrity series that followed it.

I really grew to like the housemates in some strange way, after finding it so hard to pick a favourite for the majority of the series - I look back on BB15 often in load of weeks it's been finished now with good memories and miss those housemates. Also disagree with the OP, BB15 was the best edited series of Big Brother in about four or five years, it was nowhere near as OTT as it's been since Channel 5 picked it up.

Production could of been better though - Power Trip as a twist was excecuted in a horrendous way, the Armageddon thing could of been kept for a different series tagline altogether - and it was just done because they rushed a million twists at once and panicked because no one really cared, they should of had a secret power housemate every single week - if Week 2 had of been done as the 'formula' (if you will) for this series' twist then it would of been ten times better especially considering the paranoid characters that where already in the house.

A secret Power Housemate every week, voted by the public - would of changed the dynamics weekly and kept things interesting. When Chris became Power Housemate I was so excited because I thought it was going to be done in that way all summer, not one week then hacked to death with an axe where they had ridiculous things like 'Girl Power' - it would of gave different housemates opportunities to shine that we never saw in the end, I would of loved to of seen Steven on his own as a power housemate for one week, it would of been absolutely amazing but it never happened and for that reason I'll always be abit angry.

Marsh.

Yeah, the power trip theme needed some sort of consistency. Throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the wall and hoping it sticks ruined it.

The only possible was Steven would've been even more unbearable would have been if he was ever the power housemate. thank **** that never happened

Momma Pauline/Son Steven is one of the undeveloped stories of BB15, would've been hilarious to see where that went.

It wasn't that bad at all. Ridiculous amount of twists and manipulation but it was an entertaining series.

bb11 had the worst f2 i have ever seen. That 4 people eviction was the worst twist ever, like if you didnt add that many people you wouldnt have to do that (they added sam in day 52? like really 7 extras in one season) which resulted in someone getting evicted with %8 of the vote.

I think it was a bad series. Not as bad as BB11 and BB12, but BB4 is far superior to BB15, in my opinion.
I found the last few weeks of BB15 to be dull, BB4 may have been dull, but at least it didn't have twists and manipulations every other day.

I knew BB15 would be bad after hearing all the speculations for it, such as housemates being on the cusp of fame and social media access, but I thought I would wait till it at least started, so I could judge.
The first few weeks it was great. It died after Weeks 3-5.
I also think the theme had something to do with it, in my opinion. On paper Power Trip sounded great, but the producers wanted the theme to involve nastiness and ruthless game players, which set the atmosphere in the house. Not to mention the fact that theme was carried throughout the whole series, unlike Secrets and Lies which was only the first week.
If you compare the nominations tables for BB14 and BB15 you can see how messy BB15 is from all the twists.

The tasks were dire this year too.

The housemates were a pretty bad bunch. Not because they were nasty but because they all had agents and what not.
The only civilians in the series were: Tamara, Pav, Jale, Marlon, and Matthew.

Even though my three favourites were in the final three, it was still a **** series.
It's a shame because it killed the success that C5 had with the show earlier in January and BB14.

If it is back next year, I hope they do things right.
Oh and live feed please!
1 hour live feed throughout a ten week series. The mention makes my blood boil.:rant::rant:
