'7th Heaven' star Stephen Collins being investigated for child molestation

Stephen Collins, best known for his role as Eric Camden, father and pastor, on 7th Heaven, is under investigation for child molestation.

EW has confirmed that the Manhattan Special Victims Squad received a formal complaint against the actor and that the incident is currently being investigated.

Word first broke when TMZ posted the audio from a 2012 therapy session between Collins and then-wife Faye Grant, who filed for divorce that same year. In the audio, Collins admits to molesting one girl and exposing himself to others, all of whom were reportedly between the ages of 10 and 13.

..yeah, really uncomfortable to listen to and it had been going on for 2/3 years with the child from listening to that..I can't believe the case was dropped 2 years ago, it was a confession, why was that not enough to charge him...he could have abused other children in that time...

..I would like to think that isn't so but sadly I think there may be some element to it..what saddens and angers me with these older celebrities who are found to have been child abusers, is not only have they spend so many years without prosecution and having the freedom to continue abusing but they have also had so much of a 'luxury' and pampered life..whereas their victims who are just at the start of their lives or were when they were abused will in all probability have serious issues as a result and for their rest of their lives...'lives' taken away from them...he really is a 'monster'...in a way I wish I hadn't listened to the vid because to me, his voice was filled with self-pity..incredible...

I wasn't shocked when I found because everyone seems to be a paedo nowadays, but more disappointed. Just this week I was humming 7th heaven tune and was upset I didn't have CBS drama so I could watch it, and I had a crush on him from the jumping jack flash movie. Sad a lot of men seem to have that sick urge to attack children. Where does it even come from? Is it men that were not so successful with people when they were around that age and somehow a part of them still longs to be successful with that age group?

Either way prepare for more shocks. A lot of hollywood peeps are paedos and protected. I am prepared for one of the biggest shocks to come.

I'm glad he was exposed, that said he admitted it initially, there had to be some part of him that thought that was wrong to do that.. and maybe needed to offload the guilt risking the possibility of it being leaked?
