Best advice I ever got was if they ask you where you think you could improve as a person was to say something like I'm a perfectionist and I like to have things done properly no matter now long it takes because even though it can be kinda a negative it also shows a positive angle.

You'll be in a room. There might be 2-5 senior employees there to congratulate you all on the interview then they might talk a bit about the company, explain the role and what they expect from you. Then they will be group and individual exercises-For a John Lewis one I went to for example, with my group we had to design ideas for a promotion poster, had some numeracy tests and things like that.

Most of all they want to see how comfortable you are in the environment and how well you interact with people. So even if you don't know the answer find a way to be a voice they notice and remember whilst watching everyone.

I went on a group interview once and they ask stupid questions like......if you could be a fish, what fish would you be and why? And they asked me to build a house out of cards and then i had to sell the house of cards to them.

And don't forget to say you are a team player and that you work well as part of a team, give examples, like clubs you've attended or hobbies you're part of, if you have none then make them up!;)

..oh, well done Luke..:amazed:..I think just try to feel chilled about it and try not to get nervous and be yourself/you'll be cool...I think a good thing as well is to research them a bit..and maybe their menus so that they know that you've taken time out to do that and have some questions to ask them as well...

Just remember they are people like you and me, they all scratch their bums, poop, pick their noses etc.

Deep breaths and take Ammi's advice to research the menus, and above all enjoy the experience:wavey:

Pretty much this. My interview for my current job was a group interview and I found out once I had gotten the job that the whole point of the group interviews is to see how you interact with others and how well you work in a team.

Just be yourself. I much prefer group interviews as they are alot more casual.

Having been on both sides of the table here, my best advice would be, make eye contact with everyone on the panel, especially when they speak to you. And smile... they're looking for a good member of staff; they want you to do well.

You'll be fine I'm sure.
