View Full Version : Personality quirks?
Anybody got parts to their personality they consider odd and quirky?
I have a weird issue where all my blu-ray's/DVD's/games/CD's have to be pristine and in alphabetical order. If someone breaks one of my cd cases I can sulk for ages over it.
I have a touch of OCD mostly about Symmetry with some other little things too, to the point where if I find something to be uneven etc I can get really uncomfortable until I have fixed it but then not everything that isn't symmetrical bothers me, it's quite odd to explain.
I worry about food at times too..just for example last night we had a Chinese takeaway and I actually have to cut every piece of chicken in half and look at it before I eat it I do that every time.
Worry sometimes that it will escalate to full blown OCD because one of my older sisters has suffered with that badly all her life and it's connected with eating disorders that have almost killed her.

I have to have all the books in our house the right way round and in size order, hate it when they are all jumbled up,also the loo roll has to be pulled from the front ,not the back and the curtains have to be the right distance apart.

In our cutlery drawer there's a couple of different sets of cutlery and everyone else in my family doesn't care about using matching knifes and forks, but i physically cannot eat unless the knife, fork and/or spoon match, they all mock me for it, but it makes me feel a bit uneasy if it's not right.

Ah good at least I'm not on my own with that

Yep my Dad is like that. He can't have a steel handled fork and another type of handle as a knife for example. Sends him up the wall.
Oh also now I see people mentioning cutlery, at home I have my own fork, it's a tiny bit smaller than other forks in our house (I brought it with me from my parents house) and I only use that for eating.

Exactly that! we have round handles, rectangle handles, plastic handles, either use matching ones, or none at all in my eyes

My husband bought some new spoons (breakfast spoons), but they are a weird shape and really light, so i try to keep to the old spoons:laugh: (we only have 2 of these!)
And i like my knife to be the same design and style as my fork.
I always go for the middle toilet at college, and when in class i have to face the door and be at the back of the room.
My side of the bed is the left when looking at it from the foot of the bed.
I sound odd:bawling:

Odd is one way of putting it. I call it interesting though.
I like things neat and tidy and I almost always snort when I laugh.
