Good? Bad?

I was happy at the time but thinking back I'm pissed she won over Ashleigh and she ruined the series overall

Was the best winner for the series at the time and still is

Was a bit of a shock that a nasty piece of work won. However it was good because it was unpredictable. It goes to show anyone whether you are nice or nasty will win the next series BB16.

I hated the final pass though and the killer nomination.

NO ****ing twists for BB16. Just LET IT BE. Let 14-16 housemates go in and get to know each other. Do nominations as normal. You break 1 rule then you are automatically up.

BACK TO BASICS PLEASE. However still give the housemates plenty of booze, parties and tasks!!

No generic housemates. I don't give a **** what they look like. I rather watch a load of Ugly Betty's and Johnny Vegas lookalikes!!

We need REAL people. From different jobs. From different lives. Who NEED the 100 grand.

Ashleigh really should have one but at least a female did. I just don't like how someone with a pass to the finale, basically a cheat card, won. And how fickle the voting public was to buy her redemption story.

I wanted Ashleigh to win up until the final started. During the finale I was rooting for both of them but for some reason wanted Helen to win. Two months on, I'm glad I spent my money on Ashleigh and now wish that she had won. Helen is trash.

I supported both Ashleigh and Helen.
I think I was one of the few that actually liked them both.
I also supported Christopher.
Wasn't a fan of the bottom half of the final (Pav, Chris and Ash). I'm happy neither made it to third and up.

However, Helen edged it for me, as I liked her since Launch.
I was really surprised that she won though, It took me till the following day to believe it. I felt uncomfortable re-watching her win at the time as I was so shocked.

Worse winner ever by some distance. It would be so ironic that C5 did so much for her to win yet the show may be axed next year.

They've got one chance next year to give us a good series an if they dont they the show deserves to be axed.

I don't mind people disliking Helen, but really, the WORST winner ever?

Her behavior did her no favors, nor did the pass to the final, but at least she wasn't a dullard like last years winner, who only won because he was deaf.
At least Helen contributed to the series, be it positive or negative.

At least Helen contributed to the series, be it positive or negative.Exactly. Thats why she is unequivocally the worse winner of all time. Her contribution was totally negative.

Like I said, at least she contributed.
I can't even think of 5 memorable moments that warrant Sam a deserving winner.
I can for Helen.

I have never understood the idea of "well at least s/he did something!" like, if all you did was fill me with rage and take away from my viewing experience, I would much rather have a winner who was a "dullard" or whatever.

Macie Lightfoot

No, because Frenchy didn't fill me with rage and didn't take away from my viewing experience...

Most deserving final two in the history of the show and one of the best winners of all time

I was and still am a bit sad Ashleigh didn't win because she was a nicer and more likeable person but in housemate terms Helen marginally deserved it more so

Yeah just analyzing the series and problems wrong with it, like 80% of it comes down to Helen having a pass to the final and overstaying her welcome. The series was all about Helen and it sucked, that doesn't make her a good housemate.

I'm just glad that it looks like her win hasn't aged well at all for most people

Samm
12-10-2014, 07:05 PM
It would of been nice for Ashleigh to win, I didn't mind Helen but her fans wouldn't of voted in the series at all until the Final so I guess that's another reason why she got a few more votes over Ashleigh

Samm
12-10-2014, 07:08 PM
Looking back the pass did set the series as an evil one with no fun at all and bad bitching unlike BB13, If someone like Christopher got that pass the series would of been completely different

Shaun
12-10-2014, 07:10 PM
well yeah, she'd have been evicted by like week four

Your telling me that if it was a Frenchy Vs Ricci Final 2 in CBB14. And Ricci won, you wouldn't be at all annoyed, considering he brought nothing to the series?

I was annoyed at the time, but now I'm not fussed.

She did provide a lot of talkng points on the show, so I'm glad that a bore didn't win like previous years such as Luke and Sam.

It was hilarious because of how much of a farce it was that out of nowhere everyone started supporting her. But every year we say the one who causes the most drama never wins and the fact that she did was shocking so it made it funny.

But honestly in hindsight she's scum and it was completely the wrong decision

In retrospect I would make the argument that her win is even more badly received then in the immediate aftermath of the series, there seemed to be this mindset from most people that whilst they didn't like Helen they could appreciate some of her entertainment value, yet I feel that upon re-reflection a lot of people have come to realise that Helen simply wasn't that entertaining at all, and instead of being the controversy magnet they originally thought she was instead a tiresome and frankly stale character. I'm the first to appreciate a good villain on Big Brother, you'll know that by listening to Big Archive and hearing what I think of the likes of Charley, Rex, Derek etc. but Helen as a villain was VERY one note and lacked any kind of entertainment value to make up for her lack of complexity, once you saw one Helen argument you pretty much saw all of them.

What made this worse though was the pass to the final, and because of her receiving the pass to the final there was this intention from production to be seen as having the pass given to someone who was deserving, and as a result that meant Helen receiving more airtime then what was needed and for the story of the show to be shown through her eyes, and because of Helen's personality this meant a thoroughly negative and unsatisfying tone on the entire season. Essentially she was for all extensive purposes Sallie Axl, the only difference being that Sallie left before people got sick of her whilst Helen sucked the life out of the show with her presence.

She is one of three people along with Carole and John-James that I hold responsible for single-handedly ruining a season.

Like it or not, the whole series was a fix. I would've preferred Ashleigh winning but what's done is done and the Helen fans beat Ashleigh in the final leg.
It does annoy me she said she'd leave what happened in the house in the house. She went on to bitch about people on BOTS and say she lived with a pedophile (Chris) and crap

Not bothered. I didn't really "like" anyone in the god awful series.

Glad she won over the tedious Ashleigh though.

Agree with all this post but mainly the bit in bold. The other HM I'd compare Helen to is Lesley BB6. Just a thoroughly detestable character who, due to her obnoxious personality, caused a lot of drama and argument. There was nothing more to Lesley or Sallie or Helen.

No doubt in my mind Helen wouldn't have got past week four with out her pass to the final.

It wasn't a fix. Meddled?, Yes.
You're only saying it is a fix because your favourite didn't win. I'm guessing CBB14 was also a fix considering Audley and Gary outlasted James.

She only appeared on BOTS once, which was the launch of CBB. If I remember she was pleasant and said her opinion, all of which were nice.
The only critical thing she said was that it was funny how Dee was given a royalty task, when shes far from that character she is pretending to be, which wasn't bitchy at all.
You were obviously watching a different show than I was.

The Chris thing I can't defend. I wasn't a fan of Chris, but that was vile. Fair enough.
But, many people overlook the fact that Ash had actually instigated that situation by tweeting peado first.

The feud with Danielle I can defend.
Danielle's a vile little hypocrite. She has no right to judge anyone and call people skets, when she was on BabeStation. Pot Kettle Black. Everything she says is a reflection of herself.
She also had no right to bring Helen's 10 year old child into the picture.
She's pretty much instigated the majority of the arguments involving her and Helen.

Not to mention, the things she's been tweeting, which are not even relating to Helen.
She seems to believe two wrongs make a right. I'm pretty sure being a Catholic, the bible states otherwise.
She tweeted something about animal abusers "Scum like this should die a sick death", also calling them C word.
I'm not defending animal abuse, but if that's the way she deals with situations, she obviously seems to believe in an eye for an eye.

Definately meddling. Think the twists just have to stop now because everyone is going to moan its a fix. Just let the housemates go in and make their own entertainment. Have fun tasks and noms as normal. 3 or more with most noms up for eviction.
