Who do think will go further?

I see Jake Quickenden (Mel C) in direct competition to Ben Haenow (Simon) in terms of older 20 something good looking "hunk/ bae" vote. Jay James is not going for this angle, he's playing family man, ex military card.

Initially JaKe had XF "hunk" vote stitched up, but Ben with a good make over, decent performance is holding his own plus Jake's drab poor outdated Robbie Williams song did him no favours. He should have sung something more contemporary like Ed Sheeran or Jason Derulo or Clean Bandit.

They both sang tracks that could have been on Pop Idol. Acts should always sing songs from within 3 years. Fleur sang current no 1. Some weeks will be "Elton John or Beatles week" so no chance to go modern.

I honestly don't think he will because although they both look 'similar' as they both look good. But they are completely different in what they do, Ben's slightly more soulful where as Jakes more current and 'new', but I don't know.

Yep agree about Mel B, she knows Ben is a direct rival to Jake, they are similar in looks but Ben is way way more talented, when Simon cheekily asked Mel B on live show #1 after awful Robbie Williams karaoke if she really thought Jake was better, she unconvincingly said yes. Trying to slate Ben in the hope it turns public against him is her last hope to save Jake from a "shock " elimination in a few weeks.
