I am kind of starting to getting there now as to planning things actually, I am in my own home now for the foreseeable future and looking forward to planning Christmas, although I will be going home for Christmas Day and Boxing Day with my Parents and wider family.
I like to have all presents wrapped and any cards done by the start of December so will be doing that gradually from now until then.

Mid November I start getting in the Christmas mood, but don't start preparing until the start of December.

I used to get excited just after Bonfire night.
But I've lost my Christmas spirit in recent years.
..I start to feel festive when all the Christmas stuff starts happening at work and we start practising the Christmas play etc but I don't usually start shopping etc until the beginning to mid December...
..and also obviously...Coca Cola lorry ad......
The Coca Cola ad.
Although I normally start my shopping quite a bit before that, this year though the earliness of those daft DFS Christmas adverts have annoyed me. Far Too Early TBH.

I'm glad it's not just me:laugh:
Christmas for me isn't the same anymore, i've already started buying presents, but for me i'd prefer if Christmas was every 2 years:laugh:

xmas should start in dec not bloody oct!!! On saying that shopping wise, if I see something now I would buy it and put it away. House decorations and stuff about 2 weeks before xmas.

when i hear this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MS3PTl7qMNw
I bought a Christmas present a few days ago. The shops with their Christmas selling earlier and earlier I think has people thinking about it sooner and getting into the buying spirit earlier.

I'm excited for Christmas but wouldn't say I'm in the Christmas spirit. I get into the spirit when the music channels start playing Christmas songs.

I started buying a few weeks ago as I might not be able to go Christmas shopping in November/December. Usually I don't start till late Nov but this year is different
