I used to staff an internet site, he worked on the same site. He was working in the States at the time, and I am UK based...so we chatted for a year, met up, rest is history.

How partners meet fascinates me...so how did you and yours meet?

met my partner on a very drunken bank holiday afternoon down the coast. I live in Newcastle upon tyne but back then (25 years ago) everyone used to go drinking down the coast on a bank holiday mon afternoon. It was about 7pm when I met him id been drinking all day, I even had a pair of sunglasses on, I was with 2 friends but they wanted to go home, I didn't. He said to me *well stay with us* him and his mates. I said ive not got much money or any cigs, he bought me some ciggies and a few drinks. the took me home in a taxi (god he must have been a gentlemen back then lol) we swapped numbers I thought his was a wind up as the beginning was 2345 lol. Anyway next night phone went my mam answered and it was him he was stuck @ work but wud like to go out. So it was arranged between him and my bloody mother to go to a bar sort of inbetween us both. Thing was I couldn't remember wot the hell he looked like!!! Never mind I went and met him and were still together 25 years later.

We're currently hiatus since he's out of state for Uni but...

At a concert. We slightly talked online before it, he was nervous and very excited since it was his first concert. He found me sitting alone at the show and he didn't leave my side, he even got me front row tickets. I find it funny because a couple weeks after I met him I've broke up with my boyfriend of 5 years. Once the damage was done, he my supporter and from that I knew I had someone special in my life. We grew closer and closer ever since.

Can't wait to wrap my arms around him in the end of the month. :) Actually today (the 15th) is the 3 year anniversary of the first day we met.

..I won't say exactly where/how .....but (in his own words..)..he actually saw me from behind for the first time and thought..'I'm going to marry dat ass..'..not the exact words as such because dat ass wasn't even invented back in the day but yeah...basically that..he was full of teenage hormones though so I think any ass would have been dat ass..I'm glad it was me though...

He worked in a garage across the road from me, he was very shy and wouldn't even speak to me!

The garage closed down and i thought "well that's that!"

Then i saw him in town and he was going to walk straight past me:shocked:
so i shouted his name and he came over (he maintains that he was always going to come over:suspect:)

I then did my mum's shopping and he helped me carry it home, he stopped for dinner and never left:laugh:

I was in a club with my friend and I saw my brother in there with some of his friends, i went over to say hi to him and when i went away one of his friends (who I hadn't met before) went over to my brother and said who's she? And my brother said **** off, that's my sister lol anyway he ended up introducing us and we were pretty much inseparable ever since
