Bridge over troubled water is a folk/rock song, so i can see why he was given it tbh, it gave him room to play with his voice and sing the song the way he wanted to.. but it's only been a week, hopefully with 80's week he'll be given a rock ballad for him to really sink his teeth into.

When i say rock ballad im thinking more of like, Home sweet home by Motley Crue, it's a ballad of sorts, but it's still rock, i think those types of songs suit his voice better, i doubt he'd ever be able to pull off a Led Zepplin or say, Foo Fighters song.. I'd love him to be able to, but i can't see it

I don't normally advocate for karaoke performances, but if you're gonna do that song it doesn't work having a none Scottish act slowing the song down to such a point that it's lost all the life and atmosphere that a song is suppose to have.
