My sister's baby is clear of Down Syndrome! They had to do a few blood tests and stuff to check because my sister's young and that. But it's all fine and I felt it yesterday (felt wierd)!!

I'm picking boys names. I only have 2 so far.. so more suggestions please!

MarkWaldorf

Sophii3x
19-03-2007, 03:56 PM
Journalist- isn't that like when you write lies in the papers?

And Ash.. Iv'e narrowed it down to Daniel, Thomas or Chris. I need more names though!

MarkWaldorf
19-03-2007, 03:59 PM
LOL Yes, I'm all ready for my lies. But sometimes, if you do good in the interview, they offer you the job for real after your GCSE's.

Bells
19-03-2007, 03:59 PM
I like Daniel quite a lot Soph! (LOL at your definition of a journalist, well, for celeb and gossip magazine ones perhaps that's the case).

And Mark - lucky you for just being given it. I would've loved to have had that opportunity.

MarkWaldorf
19-03-2007, 04:01 PM
LOL - Yeah, it would. If I'm offered one I'll deffo take it as a job after school.

Bells
19-03-2007, 04:02 PM
That's really lucky. AND you're in London as well, which has lots of opportunities in that field as far as I'm aware.

I really do wish I'd been given that opportunity as well you know!

I love children, they're so cute. Well, some of them.
I wouldn't be able to get into childcare though, I'm not cut out for it.

DaMn you two for being kinda sure on what you want to do, I'm not 100% sure to be honest. If our school had given us the employer-type days Mark like you're getting that would've been so helpful.

EDIT: London is NOT the worst place ever!

London is the worst place ever, I don't see the big fuss about it:rolleyes:

Bells
19-03-2007, 04:19 PM
I don't see the fuss either, I mean I don't think it's any better than some of the other major cities in the UK really apart from the historical value perhaps, which only really applies to tourists I reckon.

But it still isn't the worst place ever!

MarkWaldorf
19-03-2007, 04:19 PM
LOL Ash, I have no clue what I want to do. I'm just gonna complete college and see where life takes me.

London is full of guns and chavs. I'd rather live up north. :bored:

Bells
19-03-2007, 04:20 PM
You're leaving school next year, right Mark?
And then will you be going to college/6th form or just going straight to a job?

MarkWaldorf
19-03-2007, 04:22 PM
I leave next year, 2008. Then I'm going to college, no 6th form, whilst working in a part time job.

Bells
19-03-2007, 04:24 PM
Oh I see. That's similar to quite a few of my friends actually. So exciting!

And then after all that, you want to go into a job in some sort of field, right? For example, journalism. That's actually a good and interesting profession, I've considered it as well.

MarkWaldorf
19-03-2007, 04:25 PM
Meh, I'm not sure. I'm gonna see if they think I'll be right for the job. If I am, expect to see my on GMTV sometime soon! :dance2:

Sophii3x
19-03-2007, 04:26 PM
I don't know what the hell I'm doing next!

I hate school, so I'm deffo leaving. But I dunno whether to go straight to work or too go to college. Or maybe I'll take a year to work and then go to college.

Bells
19-03-2007, 04:27 PM
Do what Mark's doing Soph, meaning a part-time job as well as college. That way you get both and complete your course at the right time as well. But it does depend on what you want to do, if you have an idea.

And Mark, woo - I shall look out for you!

Sophii3x
19-03-2007, 04:33 PM
To concentrate on my getting my health sorted, I may take a year out to work and then go to college.

20-03-2007, 04:33 PM
Yeah I wouldn't worry Chris - GCSE Oral exams are quite straightforward and you get a surprisingly higher mark than you expect normally! I'm annoyed this year because I have to do my exams and then come back after!

That will be very handy Becca, im quite lucky due to the fact my instructor is a family friend therefore get cheap lessons, some weeks she even says dont worry about the money then you get the big companies who rip you off.

Most of my friends are paying and have paid between £22-£25 for an hour lesson Andy whereas im paying £14 for an hour lesson or like i said some weeks my instructor just says dont worry about it, granted though alot of the bigger companies like AA and BSM learners do end up taken their tests alot quicker than say me with a family friend.

I was paying £44 for a couple hours with the AA but never felt I was getting much out of it and the instructor was a right stuck up pillock so I ended up changing to a guy who just runs his own company and it's been much better and it's only £20 with the first lesson being free.I'm not sure the AA are really the best company to go with either.

It hasn't really gone up much over the years though. I was learning in 1992, and it was costing me £14 a lesson, and round here it's about £20 now. I don't think that's a huge hike for 15 years, considering how much other stuff has gone up.

Just came out to my best mate. It felt really weird and in one way it was easier then i thought, but in another way it was a lot harder. I'm still not sure weather he thought it was a joke or not but i suppose only time will tell. I just left him the option that if he wants to continue being mates then that's brilliant but ill understand if he wants to just leave it. My other best mate is online now, he is the one I'm really really worried about and i really want to tell him but i cant do it. I know that if i don't, my other mate probably will tell him.

* I've joined the Conservative Party.
* I'm co-owner of a programme in North-West England to educate children about politics (starting next week).
* It's my prom in less than 2 weeks.
* I'm gonna meet Maggie Thatcher in September on a boat party in Westminster (Phwoooar).

I haven't been to fruitta bomba and neither has my wife I don't think, as she moved from Exeter when she left school, some......erm....15 years ago. She may have been when visiting friends, but never heard it mentioned.

I'm also a carer and I know exactly what you mean. There are operations freely available to immigrants, yet because we're British Citizens they either come with a price too high for many to afford, or put on a waiting list thats so long you know it's never going to happen.

/Rant

aww bless who do you care for , my daughter was on a waiting list for 2 years in the end i emailed david cameron our local mp who got me the funding for her pace maker to be fitted her brother had his fitted 2 years ago its for there epilepsy. hes now fit free but its damiged his brain cause he used to have a lot of fits . we are hoping it works on amy too fingers crossed.

Lauren

I care for my mum who is almost paralysed from Ankylosing Spondylitis, but my dad cares for her too. Although there is no treatment for her condition there are operations which will make her life easier and less painful, like a hip replacement, but the surgeons waiting list is so long and they keep prioritising immigrants... so now it's almost too late to help. We've been in contact with David Cameron who not only has outlined new pay-quotas for carers, but is also looking into NHS waiting lists.
I hope the pace maker helps with Amy

Well, my new house has what i've always wanted now

One bedroom, fully dedicated to Britney Spears

It's a massive room, so she can have it.

Sadly, I have so much stuff, i'm gonna have to think about using another of the spare rooms.

I'm not sure the wife will go for a second one, even if she was more than happy to help me setup the 1st one :dance2:

Thanks Becca, I will, well as much ''fun'' as possible in the European Parliment.

If you don't think about it whilst your on it it's fine. I went to France with my school in year 7 and one girl had a panic attack because she didn't think she could get any oxygen  And I got in huge trouble for telling her that sometimes sharks got in through tiny holes
