Exciting - this will make it the longest series ever.

28 days is maximum for a Celeb series

January series yes, if the summer series is made 5 weeks I won't watch it.

Watch them reduce the civilian to 7 or 8 weeks:rolleyes:

It's good news that Celebrity Big Brother is being described in a positive light, too.

Hopefully this means they've axed the August edition.

Not sure what to think about this tbh especially not knowing what it means for the civilian series

Last Januarys was one of the best CBB's ever, if it's that good I'm here for it :flutter:

Same, I'm thinking a reduction in weeks off the civilian.

It'll be a risk though. The August one just gone had one of the best first weeks and then slumped.

They've axed the celeb summer series then..

I wish they would axe the summer celeb series. It's seriously unneeded.

I think they're getting too adventurous just because CBB13 did well tbh. They need to also take into account BB15 and CBB14's ratings and not just jump in extending a series based on a whim when they could burn all out. I think January series is make or break for Big Brother anyway.

This would be grand if they cut the summer CBB but two CBBs a year at 35 days each D:

I'm 50/50 on whether this is a good thing or not. If you have a poor set of celebs then 5 weeks will drag.

Really hope they've axed the summer series though.

civilian BB should be 8 weeks anyway `

We could be looking at 140+ days of BB next year if they keep BB16 at a similar length to BB15 and keep summer celebrity as well.

Not here for the summer CBB at all

What happened to Viacom not wanting to be reliant on Big Brother?

James has posted a new TiBB frontpage article.

http://pictures.thisisbigbrother.com/userpics/24444/thumb_CBB_EyeLogo1.jpgThe upcoming series of Celebrity Big Brother is to run for five weeks - two weeks longer than normal - according to the Daily Star (http://www.dailystar.co.uk/showbiz-tv/hot-tv/407171/Celebrity-Big-Brother-five-weeks-Channel-4).

If confirmed, this would make the CBB 15 - that starts in January - the longest version of Celebrity Big Brother that has been shown.

Hopefully this doesn't mean they are reducing the summer series.

This sounds okay to me, as long as there is no other agenda s to BB overall.

:suspect:

I mean, it's the first positive piece of news we've had in ages. Problem is, a series is only as good as it's housemates. Last January was amazing because the housemates gelled so well together and weren't afraid to act crazy.

If they have any sense they will be scrapping the summer one and plugging all their recources into a monster Winter one :p.

Winter CBB is tv gold and a ratings smash so whoever made this decision my hat goes off to. But lets be honest its nothing us nobodies on the forum haven't been saying for the last 3 ****ing years lol.

From here on out I want.

CBB: January 5 weeks. LIVE FEED.

Civillian BB:July for 9 weeks (BB1,2,3 Style) LIVE FEED

no Saturday show but an extended show on Sundays
to bump the ratings seeing as the retarded public still
cannot grasp Saturday shows aren't repeats!

That would also give it a nice little bump in ratings every weekend
and a nice little breather for BB fans we all need a night off lol

SUMMER CBB AXED!

THATS IT! No more overkill. Less is more.

Its time to let the summer series breath as its own show again, make it an event and not a lead in for yet another CBB days after it ends and pretty much makes me feel a bit cheated having invested all my summer in a series for it then to be shunned by some celebs I don't even want to watch again since I got my fix in January.

It literally says that in the first post. Don't be a lazy bones and just read it lol.

You would have known your answer within seconds.

Oh, I don't think an extra two weeks makes much of a difference.

Seriously?

2 weeks in that house must be torture in itself but 2 weeks after already spending nearly a month in there must be a kick in the gash for its inhabitants.

Well, I meant for the viewers, I think there would be room for more complicated tasks and also to get to know the housemates better.

As a twist they should throw in a few "civilians" like they did in the year of Chantelle.
