I mean, we haven't had any new ones in a while from what I know. I guess The Voice counts, but apart from that it's been really empty.

Hopefully not, they're getting boring now (although I still love the Voice)

Tbh I would wait for one of the older shows to go first before starting new ones up otherwise every show would only be getting 2 or 3 good contestants while the rest of them would be dreadful.

I disagree as there's a few that I liked on BB this year, there's a few that I like on TXF this year which I've not said that in awhile, Strictly admittedly I only like Caroline and Jake out of the serious competitors this year.

I don't really count most talent shows (like singing) among reality TV shows, they have been around since the 60s after all (Opportunity Knocks/New Faces). There's plenty of space for competitive reality shows which are truly competitive and tough. There could be an Amazing Race like show or Survivor if done properly a Mole type show, a Capture like one etc. Non-audience voting shows and so more competitive.

As it is we are largely dependant on America and this year they have been crap. They cancelled the interesting shows after just one season being aired last year and this year put on crap like The Quest and Utopia.

All the new ones that have tried to start in the US in the past 10 years have not survived (other than the voice). I was reading up on the demise of Utopia, and this was a stat they threw out there.
I am wondering if reality TV is on a decline in general?
Also, I think we are referring to competitive reality only, and not the shows that follow around B, C, and List celebs

I don't really count Celebrity Shows either, as they are very manufactured and not realistic.

King of the Nerds is on its 3rd season in the USA and is coming to the UK:

Would rather get Survivor UK but it's better than nothing
