Jo Pavey is who I got attached to most of their achievements. Peaty as well.

I don't care for golf or F1 so don't care for Rory/Lewis at all but I suppose if (and when) they are top 2 I can't deny their success.

It's between Gareth Bale and Max Whitlock for me

voted Jo just for the comeback factor and how she's most likely not going to stand a chance in this :p it's Rory's to lose, really, although I suppose Lewis is a very close contender (if not the frontrunner).

Kelly would be a nice choice too, as would Max or Lizzy.

Can we please stop pretending dressage is a sport though :(

Think it'll be a straight battle between Lewis & Rory. Lewis becoming a double world champion & Rory winning 2 majors and helping Europe to the Ryder Cup which is an amazing achievement to do all of that in a year.

Bale has had a great year too. Scored the goal that pretty much secured Madrids 10th CL win and scored the winning goal in the final of the Copa del Rey against Barcelona with that crazy run from the half way line.

Rory deserves it this year, Winning 2 Majors and the Ryder Cup ( all 3 easily) within one year in a stacked competition is more impressive then winning the F1 World Championship against only one true rival (who pretty much handed it to him on a plate anyway) I'm pretty surprised Wilkinson wasn't nominated after the year he has had and the stage of his career

I think it will be 1) Rory 2) Hamilton 3) Bale

I'd like to see Jo make it in the top 3 but the European Champs weren't exact!y competitive this year

I'm guessing Frag will win YSPOTY since she isn't nominated for the main one,

Think Lewis might just steal it on the night as its fresher in peoples minds although wouldn't mind if Rory won it either or Jo Pavey.

Really she should have been shortlisted for the main award, the moment she wasn't I knew she was going to win Young SPOTY.

I think Lewis will just edge McIlroy.

I hoped Rory would get it, after a short x period, this year he has really come good again and for me warranted it.
Was really pleased he came 2nd however.
