As viacom has control of c5 now and have freshened up the look of their channel identity, do you reckon that all the branding etc. will have changed for BB too? I hope so! I'm also looking forward to new houses etc.
Also the new bosses are rumoured to be changing the show already, eliminating existing reality tv stars etc., so I can imagine them changing some aspects of the show,

Admittedly that does make me nervous.

I think it will need to change if it wants to stay on the air. Having more up market celebrities and less reality canon fodder is a good start.

The changes they have made to Channel 5 so far have not been good though.

It seems all that's ever on is now is documentaries then repeats of those same shows and whenever I check the daily ratings (yes im that sad) most shows are only getting around 800k at the moment.

You got to give them time to sort it out they havent been in charge that long

Tbf, that's not that different from when Desmond was in charge is it? BB is the only show aside from maybe CSI or Ice Road Truckers that does anything remarkable for them ratings wise.

I could see them ditching the civilian show if they are extending CBB which can easily scrape 3million in which is huge for the channel.

There will be at least one more series of normal BB

Yeah I knew there would be a series this year but I could see them getting rid of it to shake up the ratings with another five week run of the show. Perhaps even a few new spin off shows could be good, they should have an evening BBLB show.

I think they will wait to see how it goes but i cant see them throwing it away at all

If any changes are coming, I wouldn't see them doing anything drastic until the summer. They may change a few things, but I don't expect anything major to change until Big Brother in June.

I understand that but they've actually made the Channel less watchable they should have atleast kept it the same and whats this new identity you're talking about I see no differencre visually?

All the idents ect are the same.

I see no "refreshing".

Normal people on the streets need to be allowed to audition again instead of most of the cast being full of Actors and Models.

And for me personally I would like to watch those boring sounding documentaries than all of the TOWIE shows that Desmond was making/turning BB into.

In theory yes. But to defend the producers somewhat though I have to say I don't really hold the faith anymore in 'real' people being all that interesting. I'll use BB14 as an example here, there were in my eyes only five contestants in that series that either didn't come from a media background or were interested in getting some kind of media career, and those five were Sam, Sophie, Wolfy, Callum and the Twins, and of those five Callum was the only contestant which would have considered a worthy casting.

And that doesn't mean either that people who have media backgrounds can't be down to earth and likable. Chris Wright has been on loads of adverts and tv shows and yet he was one of the most relatable and normal cast members of BB15
