Named and shamed: Supermarkets where up to 78% of fresh chickens are contaminated with food poisoning bacteria

Results show every major retailer failed to meet targets to reduce bug
Asda had the highest number of contaminated chickens at 78 per cent
Co-operative had 73% while Morrisons, Sainsbury's and Waitrose had 69%
Food Standards Agency said rise could be due to tests being done in summer
British Poultry Council said significant improvements had been made
But Which? said supermarket bosses should 'hang their heads in shame'

I haven't bought chicken for months, it's watery and tasteless anyway in most places. To be fair though wouldn't it be the farm or the processing plant that incubate the bacteria?

Isn't this killed off by cooking, its all about washing hands and making sure it doesn't come into contact with other food. :suspect: Poor Arista, how will he ever recover from this news.

Nope- In Japan raw chicken is a delicacy, you just need good quality chicken.
