Does anybody own a Kindle?

I am thinking about asking for one for Christmas, my Dad was like 'think of a big gift' and Lost boxset wasn't good enough and I'd like to know if it would be a worthwhile investment.

Plus I'm not sure which one I would get if I did because there is a 'Voyage' which is more expensive than a 'Paperwhite' but I have no idea which features the former has to make it 50 quid dearer.

I started watching Lost the other week, I love it so far

I used to have a Kindle until I dropped it on the floor and smashed it, mine was a Kindle Fire and it was good! It's the same as an iPad really

I loved Lost, I really want to rewatch it and with shows I love I like having boxsets rather than watching online.

I'm just struggling with ideas this year, I would have told my brother to go half's on a PS4 off him tbh but we got one earlier in the week so I thought this would make a decent 'big gift' for myself!

I have a Kindle Fire it's fine but I wouldn't say its as good as an iPad. Nice gift though

Kindle paperwhite is a book one - you need a kindle fire if you want it for other things

I have had lots and got a new fire for my be and.it's awesome and the fact it's so not an iPad is the usp

Have decided to get one for Christmas, went with the Fire HDX just because I liked having the extra apps and I'm a prime customer on Amazon so I got more value with the videos and borrowing books as well.

I have a paperwhite- I love it; I can pirate books onto it as well which is nice :flutter:

I adore my paperwhite. My favourite gadget EVER, and I didn't want one in the first place because I am such a book lover.

Main decider was the fact I usually take 4-5 paperbacks for a 2 week holiday and won't leave them behind; now I can use the extra weight in my case ;) And yeah, as Tom says above....it can be a LOT cheaper :)
