This is probably one of the only boards without a Farpak thread so I thought i'd start one.
Have you or someone you know been affected?
Why save with Farepak instead of a regular saver/post office account?
I feel really bad for those who have lost a lot of money and seeing young children cry on the news because Christmas has been "cancelled" is horrible
Your thoughts?

It's a bad time of year to lose money..
Business's have contributed to a "Farepak Fund" and £5.2million has been raised.. This morning I read on another forum, a Farepak victim say £5.2million is a "kick in the teeth"
It's not the retailers faults that Farepak went bust but they are expected to stump up!
Could have been worse, it could have been £0.00 like other people who lose money through schemes like this.
A freind of mine has 4 members of her family lose money

Yeah but who should pay them all the money back? because it won't be Farepak thats for sure.
I think they should appreciate the Fund that is in place. £5.2m might not cover all their losses but its a start and it's better than nothing at all

Yeah, but no one is gonna pay all of it back, well not in one piece anyway. Its a lot of money needed back.
