I'm A Celebrity's first evictee, Jimmy Bullard, has slammed ITV for editing him into a bully on the jungle show – and is shocked at the weight loss he's experienced in the squalid celebrity camp.

Speaking about the 'banter' with Jake Quickenden after Bullard's exit from the jungle, the former footballer told MailOnline: 'I've seen that [footage] back and it was totally tongue in cheek. The way that came across on TV was totally not how it came across in camp.

'The best person to answer that is Jake. We're great friends and we're going to be for a long time. It was total banter.

Editing can be quite ****ty, but it's what he got himself in for.

It reminds me of John Lydon (or Malcolm McLaren?) quitting the show because producers had already pre-planned who they wanted to win.

I wouldn't be surprised if that moment between Jimmy & Jake was highlighted because they are desperate for Jake to do well on the show.

I was bored of Jimmy before "bantergate" and I am just as bored of Jake.
I wouldn't be surprised if a few campmates are glad to see the back of him .

Meh - Jimmy never got himself into any arguments - even with the slightly spikey Mel or Edwina. He can't have been that awful and they were all as stunned as each other when he went.

Same here re Jimmy, it wasn't just bantergate that cinched it for me that Jimmy has a nasty streak. And if some were to give him the benefit of that doubt, not everyone even then likes juvenile locker room banter, apart from probably Joe Swash, a Jimmy kindred spirit. Plus if it was just banter then why did the rest of the campmates even his friend Foggy in there comment that Jimmy went too far. I knew once out Jimmy would try and paint himself as nicey nice :D

Jake may well have believed Jimmy that it was banter if Jimmy earwigged him later about it, Jake has that forgiving, and maybe even gullible streak about him, doesn't mean Jake wasn't a bit taken aback at the time though.

Anyway, too late Jimmy, you dug your own exit out of there :D
