View Full Version : Why was jimmy EVICTED

Jimmy was EVICTED due to other factors not reported. Of course he lost some of his support for the banter issue with Jake and the edits were not kind to him either. He was even lampooned due to his annoying ways but the main reason why he was EVICTED was due to his twitter and social media support, or lack of it.
The bookies are pretty much on the ball with the normal BB and shows with Joe Public in them, but when they try to make a book with celebs in, it all falls apart. Of the four EVICTEE'S last night, the largest social media following came down to Tinchy then Mel with Foggy and Jimmy left to fight it out and who had less followers than their fellow potential EVICTEE'S, a little like Nadia tonight, simply not enough support and pretty vanilla to boot.
WHEN IT CAME DOWN TO IT, JIMMY SIMPLY DIDNT HAVE THE SUPPORT MECHANISM BEHIND HIM TO KEEP HIM IN and what was there was, was reduced badly by his gobby antics against Jake. Unfortunately celebs can go from hero to zero very quickly where the GBP are involved and hero worship based on what you see is not always a wise thing because there isn’t one reality show on tv these days based on actual skill or technique, these shows are becoming a popularity contest which can be seen in shows like Strictly with Sergeant and the likes of our own BB shows.
Jimmy has been EVICTED and its time for his supporters to move on because the GBP didn’t send him packing, they simply gave their support to a celeb with more supporter.
cus he's unfunny and repeated the same jokes

Too long-winded for me. I prefer: "Jimmy got evicted because he was the least popular with the GBP and so got the least votes to stay in. In other words - he was voted out. :joker:

Agree I found his banter extremely annoying. It reminded me of being in the locker room when I was 14 when we were all walking talking hormones.
I was shocked he went though tbh, he wouldn't have gone if they were all eligible to face the public vote. The twist backfired and the producers are probably kicking themselves for it.

Probably because of the controversy after he went too far with Jake.

Tinchy twitter 742k
Jimmy 312k
Mel 166k
Foggy 105k( gained around 10k since I last looked )
I thought it would have been between Mel and Foggy last night but Jimmy's twitter support fail to get him through via phone vote .
I do agree that had we no " immunity twist" then Jimmy would have been saved up against the whole camp .

True actually so it wasn't left between Jimmy and Foggy if we are going to base it on social media support (and the correct numbers not made up or assumed) then Jimmy should never have gone.

Social media encompasses more than twitter and when some of his fans deserted him because of his banter gaff, he was left to fall on his own sword.

The fact still remains that the public didn't evict him, he was up against 3 people whos fans were greater in number than his, simples. The only way the GBP can evict anyone now is for them to throw votes at the other 3 and nobody is going to do that. Jimmy lost face with his supporters and they chose not to spend on him, it cant be simpler.
When its VTE, the best get left and the most popular on social media win. I seen a poll on DS that over 65% of voters were avid social media posters so that rings truein this case.

Yeah, but sampvt, I genuinely don't understand how you can say that the public didn't evict him? They didn't vote for him to stay in, which is the same thing. Fans are the GBP as well, so whilst I agree his fan base was obviously smaller than the other 'celebs', and also agree with your analysis of why the result was as it was, that result is the same - he was 'voted out' by the GBP by default.

I still don't understand your point. If someone does not vote, how can they be responsible for voting someone out. That's like saying that QPR didn't win the premiership because the public didn't support them at home. Totally illogical. He was and still is a nobody and his antics in camp didn't gain him a fan base which is why he is out, his fans were too small and insignificant just like Nadias and probably Vickies tonight. The one that wins this will be popular on twitter or social media.
The deciding factor to promote the eventual winner will be the edits and we all know who the prods want to win this year. I wonder how many followers jake has nowadays.

Exactly. So by not voting - they voted him out.
If a man is drowning and 200 people on the river bank ignore him and he drowns - then their inaction has resulted in him drowning, when they could have acted and saved him.
The GBP let Jimmy drown. Simple as.

Its really hard to debate with you as your logic is self absorbed and flawed. On a VTE you have an argument, on a VTS the evicted are just classed as non supported, how can it be the fault of someone because they don't vote. By that token I should be ringing my son and blaming him for not voting for jimmy, totally stupid defence and defo not worth debating. By your arguments tokens, what if the bystanders cant swim, what if there was crocs in the water, what if they were all short sighted. My examples are stupid I know but they stand up better than yours.
I am no longer a soldier and too old to fight so its your fault that ISIS are killing people then, go figure.

You cannot base voting on how many followers a person has on social media if this was the case the fact Jimmy has around 200k more followers than Mel and Foggy do on Twitter for example if your theory that the winner will have more followers then he should have been safe in this 4 way on Monday seeing as only Tinchy had more Twitter supporters than him.
If you're going to come back with "Im not talking about just Twitter" then what other followers are you talking about and where are you getting these numbers from.
VTE doesn't allways mean the best get left either as has been constantly shown on BB on the civilian series where every year the bigger characters are lost due to the public evicting them.

obviously it was otherwise he would still be there....duh
You're talking about Twitter though, you have just said the winner will be the one with the biggest following on Twitter and social media and Jimmy had 200k more followers than Mel and Foggy in the 4way vote on Monday so that theory makes no sense.
DUH!

Yeah anyway.. Jimmy's mask fell and we saw a very nasty side to him, i for one didn't like that at all, i personally won't miss him and i don't really think that the show will suffer from him not being there, other characters will now have the space and air time to shine through, which i am thoroughly looking forward too.

Whilst I agree, that his attention seeking behavior was grating.
You can't simply make up the statement that he was lying.
He did apologize after he said it, as he knew what he said was wrong.
Not to mention, Jake said on numerous occasions himself, that it was just banter, and he gave just as good as he got.
I think the person who was in the actual situation is more accurate than a viewer who seems to use any reason to dislike the contestant involved.
I've always thought the majority of the public have been angry on Jake's behalf, over the issue. Yet, Jake doesn't even have a problem with it, and never did have, and is still friends with Jimmy.
I think the viewers just get sensitive about everything these days, IMO.
I wouldn't be surprised if someone was voted off on CBB, in January, for telling another housemate to shut up.
