Save the image and take a look, it's an extremely convincing image when you look at the image.. Maybe I am wrong, but it just doesn't even look well made. There's quite a few rough edges etc on the eye itself.

Just to reply to you all, Like I did say this was the first version of the design. Call it a MockUp/prototype whatever you like. The design of the logo will stay much around this design but changes do happen.

and in regards to the eye, I have seen a short animation that was made and it looks amazing animated. It's quite dark and it's more red. The middle of the eye is like a solar eclipse that burns around fire I can't really explain it.

You've got a point. I actually thought this website was still like it used to be. Many years ago I used to look on here sometimes for news when I was a fan of the show (Channel4 days BB7ish). It actually had decent honest members and was generally just a good chat. Not childish replies like today. I decided to share the image because I could remember my days of being a fan and the good build up.

But actually I wish I'd never bothered now. The show is pretty much axed after next year's celebrity and final Big Brother if it doesn't improve.

A look at the EXIF (image details) data reveals a few things:
Firstly, it was created at 9.40pm at night; would the graphics department be working this late?
Secondly, it says it was created in Paint.Net; which, lets be honest, isn't exactly the standard for a graphics design department, especially since we've seen behind the scenes shots of Photoshop previously.
Thirdly; the fact that it's a JPEG. Any graphics designer/computer person will know this is a terrible image format; it compresses the image and you lose quality.

However, there are a few things that point to it being real (or the OP having WAY too much time on their hands):
- The "artist" tag is set as: GraphicTeam;Graphics@Channel5.com and the copyright holder as "Channel5"
This looks like it could be legit, however, the poor design (although not uncommon for C5), poor image quality, rough cut edges, and the fact that (I think) it's SHOP who do the graphics point to this being a fake.

Oh, and the final nail in the coffin; they actually bothered posting it here :P

Overall, 8/10 likely it's a fake.

In reply to the above poster I created a copy and opened the image up in Paint.Net to remove a tag in the bottom right corner. On my laptop I do not see the Channel5 information so I don't know where you have found that.
