I always thought that she eclipsed the other two actresses in 'Charley's Angels' when it came to beauty, and I do like her as an actress, but I think it's important with these 'stars' to retain a little 'perspective' when it comes to euologising them, because they do not live in the real world.

I always remember someone stating how remarkably 'beautiful' and radiant the Queen Mother was when she was in her late 70's and yes, she was, but my own mother eclipsed her in respect of both qualities and yet mum wasn't born with a 'silver spoon in her mouth' and didn't enjoy a pampered life and the 'best of everything'.

My mum worked two jobs concurrently for most of her life, sometimes three, and had more than her fair share of worry, stress, and grief - relative poverty, an alcoholic partner, losing one child at 4 to illness and another child at 12 in a fatal road accident, yet she did not have a wrinkle on her when she died at 82 years old, was always positive and philosophical, and never 'whinged', and yet mum wasn't unique for there are millions of other 'ordinary' mums and Grand mums just like her.

I don't think that Lucy Liu has had any major cosmetic enhancements, and I do truly regard her as 'naturally' beautiful, but at the same time - given today's 'technology'; air brushing, special lighting and cosmetics - I think that it's not hard to make 'celebs' look more beautiful in photos and film than they really are, just as I am convinced that any bad singer can have at least one 'hit' record if they have the right song, the right recording studio, and the right recording engineer.
