Fleur East - Uptown Funk, the most overrated performance of the night?

Am I the only one that thinks that this very gimmicky and average performance was really overrated by the judges tonight? All she did was use a backing track, and danced through most of the performance without singing a note, and then when she sits down on the chair her vocal falls apart, I mean Simon's script fell apart there I think.:joker:

For me that is a nothing song and Fleur did absolutely nothing with it to make it stand out.

Her 2nd song was performed good but the arrangement and backing was what made the song sound really good.

Lauren does better at uptempos than Fleur, it proves it as she needs less gimmicks on them than Fleur does.

She was relatively fun for the earlier weeks when there was boring dross in there that couldn't hold a note, but they're all gone now and the fact that Fleur is considered a winner off this Uptown Funk performance is laughable, she actually hardly sung on a singing competition.

And Lauren failed on one uptempo out of 3 attempts that she's made, yes she can't dance but she's not that type of singer.

Just because Fleur does uptempos does not make her automatically entertaining either like a lot of people seem to always think with the Olly/Rylan acts every year.

Lauren came 4th, and could've been 3rd in the votes and that was with all the derailing that was thrown her way, I think the public showed that they cared for Lauren, would the public have shown Fleur the same courtesy if she was receiving Lauren's treatment?

And every poster that I saw on here, DS, Facebook, and Twitter that was supporting Nicholas last year was from Scotland.

you cant say Chloe wasn't pretty i know its a matter of taste but she wasn't exactly ugly come on and she had class and the media was out to get her
they printed all kinds of bad things about her

Stephanie was another pretty girl and ended up getting death threats whats that all about when she was a sweet polite girl :shocked:

i know people think Simon runs the whole show and yeah clearly he's the producer but he wasn't in charge of Steph!! she was mentored by Cheryl
so why not say Cheryl didn't push her? plus i thought Steph vocally was good

They always go far them types of contestants because it's better to be attractive on TXF than not being attractive on the show, but if you look at it with Lauren, the housewives hated her guts on FB and DS, and the VT's and song choices only ever really made her appeal to a young fanbase and as mainly housewives vote on TXF it killed Lauren's chances of winning off.

i disagree you seem to think just because Simon runs the show that his acts get favored more which isnt true :nono:

plus Jay got slagged down actually! and was called the bully of the house and the public stopped voting for him so he lost support :shocked:

and nobody took stevi seriously even simon told him one week that his performance was terrible but he supported him still as his wild card but he knew stevi had no chance of winning it was just a laugh and they all kept saying they know he's enjoying himself
