Veteran DJ Alan "Fluff" Freeman, whose "Not 'arf" catchphrase made him a household name, has died aged 79.

I'm sorry to hear the news. When Alan Freeman presented the Top-40 in the 1970s it was a 'golden era' for the music chart, I think.

He was still presenting on Radio 1 in the 90s and that is when I remember hearing him.
