http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2847242/African-nanny-secretly-filmed-throwing-child-room-beating-STOMPING-kicking-ribs-child-sick-ate-dinner.html

The video is actually one of the most horrible things I have ever watched, and I advise people dont watch it..the pics show enough. Though I know this will make some people curious..I havent said it for that honestly..just don't.

Basically a nanny beat a 18 month old kid up because she was sick. Proper stamping on her and kicking her

Father of the child had noticed bruises and installed cctv, then kicked the living daylights out of the nany when he saw this, and I dont blame him at all. The bitch then tried to get HIM done...she deserved everything that happened to her and more. Luckily the police dropped the charges against him when they saw this and she could now get up to 15 years inside, which IMO isnt long enough

I don't understand how someone could do this to a poor defenseless baby :(

This is why I could NEVER use a nanny tbh. I would rather be totally skint and at home with my kids than risk leaving them with a stranger :/

Edit. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-30476200 4 years she got...shocking :bored:

Vile.

Edit: just watched the video and you're absolutely right about it being one of the most distressing things you'll ever watch... it's beyond awful. I have no words

Absolutely evil.

I say this about all of the carers/nannies that are exposed committing actions like this, why the **** are they in this line of work when they have absolutely no patience or any sort of compassion or skill to take care of vulnerable people like this?

No words can describe how bad it is.

I don't think I could watch it.

Just watched the video. :bored: Wow....

The slap at the beginning was bad enough but.... just....

The comments are implying the nanny is now in a wheelchair and being fed through tubes. I can't see that part in the article though.

I don't condone violence and I don't think fighting it with more violence is the answer but in this instance that woman deserved everything she got and more.

i can honestly say if i hired someone and they did something like that, i'd end up in jail for getting the nanny back or whatever

ive come to realise recently that i have very bad anger issues, but I don't think that has anything to do with what i'd do to a scumbag like that

i hate people who hurt innocent little children. i actually feel my heart ache with pain when reading things. i'd never lose a day of sleep if i found it this person was hit by a train in a freak accident

..it's horrific, the vid leaves you stunned that anyone could do that to a child, I hope that she has recovered from the injuries...sadly though Vicky, sometimes it can also be the parents who do these things...

Curiosity killed the cat again - I watched it but it was disgusting, that woman really is evil, how on earth can she do that to a child?!
The whole time throughout the video i just kept thinking how if that was my child, i'd have to get revenge.
Definitely wont ever be using nannies when i have kids.

Marsh -- I have said this in different posts on here - these bastards gravitate towards the type of jobs which allow them the opportunity to indulge their twisted desires. This **** became a nanny because she gets off on abusing babies.

They should burn the bastard - alive.

Incidentally, there was a documentary on TV a year or so ago with a whole compilation of these types of incidents - worldwide - some really distressing stuff filmed by hidden cctv cameras. So sadly, this isn't an isolated incident.

I can't watch the video...especially after reading here what people have said. I was a nanny in the states at the same time as the Louise Woodward case in the 90s and the family I worked for were contacted about having a "nanny cam" installed and talked to me about it. I was all for it, I had nothing to hide as I loved the bones of the kids I took care of but it also would have given me peace of mind too as if they fell and bumped themselves everyone would know it was not my fault etc.

Certainly are some evil people in this world...in all guises

She looks fine in the second link in court, sadly.

Honestly, shes lucky she just got a beating..and then she has the cheek to report it too. If that was my kid I would have enjoyed killing her, slowly and painfully. Maybe this makes me a bad person, but its true.

Second link implies she did it to get revenge at the mother

I could only see one video of the nanny in court, maybe it's been taken off,but glad in a way as curiousity would compel me to watch, but reading what others have said I can imagine it's vile,I agree with Vicky ,only ever have my parents or sister in law babysit for me,would rather stay in than leave them with any Tom,Dick and Harry.

I wouldn't watch it, nanny cams are an excellent idea to protect the child and also the minder in the event of a genuine accident.

on topic - I'd rather not watch the video but I feel the same as you do Vicky, I would hate to leave my kids with a nanny or someone I didn't know. Thankfully my mom was so good to me when my kids were young, I worked part time until they started school and she was able to look after them for me while I was at work

Horrible vid to watch. The bit where she kicks the kid in the head the kid almost flew across the room. Disgraceful. I hope the Dad slapped this bitch so hard she flys across the room too,

That's absolutely horrible. I just briefly flicked through it before closing the window, it was too nasty to look at really. What an awful, awful woman for doing such a thing. I hope she get put in prison or something at the very least. Jesus Christ.

Sidenote: why does the mail have to make it about her ethnicity by stamping 'Ugandan maid' on the article? That's just unsavoury to me. :conf2:

I think in a way it's a good thing.I've always been a little apprehensive at the thought of leaving my kids with a 'professional' that i did'nt know. But then you think to yourself 'they would'nt get in a job like that if they were'nt fit for it'.
That vid made me 100% certain that i won't leave my kids in my house with a nanny.Even with a camera.By the time you see the evidence,It's too late. The poor kid could be traumatised for life.

Saying that someone is Ugandan when they are Ugandan is not unsavoury.

But why point it out? What's the need?

But why point it out? What's the need?

Because it's a fact. If she was Australian or French or Canadian they would still have mentioned it so I see no problem with mentioning her nationality is Ugandan.

We leave our kids with teachers and we don't know that well don't we?
Knowing that these things can happen is enough to protect your children as much as is possible, why the video is needed to reinforce that abuse happens is for me not necessary.
