What a shocking time to get put out of work.

[I am sorry to break this news to you, particularly at this time of year."
The company's operations at all of its depots have been suspended until Monday.
Customers and those expecting deliveries will then be able to collect their parcels.
Hunter Kelly, joint administrator to City Link, said the strain of the firm's losses "became too great". ]

The Unions say it stinks.
But at least they Delivered as much as they could
before calling in Admin.
They have Big Areas and so many Trucks and Vans
no one could take them over , yet
I am sure many at City link would know this was on the cards.
For Example ,
Deliverys from a Great Value Cloths store online
M&M are done by Home cars and with women drivers
Cutting out all vans being used

"Women drivers"? Err... We get deliveries from three such places in this manner (local couriers in own vehicles) - Next, Littlewoods and MyHermes deliveries - and two of those drivers are male. I don't think there's a gender requirement. But supreme effort in stereotyping there, arista :joker:.

I was listening to this while driving back to my house tonight, shocking really and what devastating news for the workforce at this time of year.
..although never a 'good' time...extremely awful time of year for this to happen to anyone/really sad...
