According to Big Blagger,
@bigblaggeruk: Sorry guys, there will be no online live streaming for #cbb #bbuk
There very reliable, so probably true!

I doubt they will ever do online live feed. C5 have no interest in having more than a few hours of live feed on TV each year.
Why do people still pursue this when it's been the case for 4 years?

Agree when they brought the franchise back in 2011 they said they would be focusing on the nightly highlights and the web content

Oh well
I can't be bothered getting worked up about no live feed any more, I'm over it now.
The clips we get around the day should be scrapped, they're so heavily edited themselves there just seems no point.

Compared to 2011 the clips I have found have improved
Is anyone surprised?

It's become the norm now, tbh.
I don't really mind now. Since BB15, watching Big Brother has become more of a dented guilty pleasure, rather than an avid show.
Shame, as CBB13 was phenomenal, and doesn't deserved to be known as a C5 series, IMO.
The way I look at it is, it hurts C5 that the show can't get good ratings, even if they tried. Instead of trying, they take a step back, which is what I find hilarious and quiet sad really.

They tried Live Feed before but didn't get the numbers there just isn't a high enough demand for it with the wider audience so it takes up space in the schedule, the production team also don't stay past 1AM now either so there would be very few staff to make sure it runs smoothly if anything cocks up.

True.
I think the people who care about live feed, are mainly the ones on forums, which usually represents 0.1% of the viewing population.
I think with Big Brother these days, there's usually just normal viewers who tune in to the highlights, and then that's it.
Just out of curiosity, was C4 live feed popular, in terms of ratings?
By that, I mean did they ever reach over 3M?

9 million + watched live feed when Nasty Nick was finally caught out and Live From The House has reached over a million on occasion on Channel 5. They need to give us maybe an hour in the day when their ratings are **** and an episode after the highlights and bots when no one would be watching anyway.
They can give us more live feed they just chose not to just incase something happens that wont fit the 45 minute highlights and therefor harder to fool the avid viewer with the edit.

9m yes in 2000 its now 2014 everything is very different today but I agree 1 hour after bots every night would be something

I have to agree most haven't got time to watch people doing nothing these days that's why we have highlights

Live feed is not watching people doing nothing if that was the case then the editors would have "Nothing" to put into the highlights.

I wonder what an average live feed episode gained during the BB5-7 era.
I think they should test out live feed for a week. If the live feed gets more than 700K, keep it.
It may seem miniscule. But an average BB episode usually has 1.5M, so for half tuning in live, is impressive. Plus CBB has higher ratings as well.
If BOTs can get over 500k nightly, surely live feed could do much better.

Meh, not really that bothered tbh, i hardly ever watched it when it was on, just like many other people, the ratings for the live feed just aren't good enough these days to reason putting it on TV

Not really fussed about it for CBB tbh, though I hope they give us more for regular BB.

I don't expect 24/7 live feed, as that will never happen. Although I think if they offered live feed from 10 or 11pm through to 3am each night on the C5 website that would be a very good step forwards, and as we know usually most of the action happens at night so even casual viewers may have some slight interest in that.
Offering live feed online would be the more sensible and cheaper option in my eyes. I'm surprised they've never tested the waters to see if it would work.
Like other's, I was not fussed when it was available, it's just a shame for the hardcore fans who would watch.

This is the thing with live feed, they simply don't want viewers to see everything. They want to show certain celebrities in certain light. For example when they put a video on YouTube that same clip will be used in their highlight show and on BBOTS as an 'exclusive'. I doubt we will ever get 24/7 live feed if BB/CBB stays on C5, i just can't see it happening.

The thing is ALOT of Channel 5's programming is only averaging about 600k at the moment its even been falling as low as 400k.
Live From The House pretty much never went below 500k and drew audiences in over 1 million especially when they were smart enough to put it on after the evictions and a twist happened.
I cant believe they don't put it on for an hour straight after launch on 5* or something because that's what I love about BB is the awkwardness of seeing them all make awkward small talk on the first night and getting excited about seeing the new house, choosing beds ect!

I think its the principle people are more pissed off about.
The concept of BB is them being watched 24/7 by us the viewing public who choose their fate in the house and if im correct the UK and another country are t he only 2 to no longer have live feed.
Thee BB we all used to love has gone so ive actually made my peace with it being a new show like I just separate 2010 real BB ended and 2011 a new tackier far less technically advanced show was born.
They are not not showing it due to lower figures seeing as figures have been impressive when its been broadcast live from the house imo its more to do with them wanting to control what we see.

Yes 2 countries.
And isn't it funny how BBUK and BBAUS have become so alike down to the lame lightening bolt flashing graphics, staging and tacky editing?
I do still love BB don't get me wrong, I know I sound like a total hypocrite but ffs the producers don't realise how big of a show they have and how much more they could gain from it. They have taken the cheap route with a glossy promo to get people watching then get cash back quickly kind of feel. Its like they have no faith in the show and every year they seem afraid to actually go the whole hog and bring the full BB experience to the audience.

Bbaus editing is much more tacky I find editing wise but I do prefer their version overall to ours

I'm fine with the little changes in the highlights, like the music and name tags. I mean TV has changed over the last decade.
But the thing with Channel 5 is they keep adapting this glamorous image to the show.
Constant flashing lighting and colours. The use of gold, EVERY CBB series.
It makes the show look cheap and tacky. I don't like it.
It's become like a X Factor / TOWIE Set.

I agree but it is c5 they don't know any other way I'm hoping with new owners they change things around a bit at least
Channel 5 :bored:
I wonder why BB14 did so much better than BB15. Yes the cast was miles better, but we also had live feed...

The only positive of the Livefeed is the hilarious forum discussion and seeing the true characters besides all that the casual viewers will rake in the majority of views for the Highlights it's only really the hardcore fans that would want to see it, I liked the online feed we got, the night with Hazel and Daly or Connor and Deana was splendid viewing.

The way I see it is the show (live feed) just wouldn't attract a large enough audience on C5 and perhaps 5* as was the case with Secrets and Lies... Imo it would be great to see live feed on their new sister channels like Viva or MTV whose ratings aren't particularly outstanding compared however as others have said there would need to be a lot of effort to put even an hours live feed out on these channels for perhaps an even smaller audience share. I'd love to see some live feed for CBB, the ratings of 3 million from the previous winter series would suggest it'd do well but the demand is no longer there. People have lost interest as have production! I'm over live feed as much as it would be great to see!
