I only just realised you're supposed to say twenty oh seven rather than two thousand and seven, lol

Which makes sense since we say the battle of Hastings was in ten sixty six, not a thousand and sixty six.

because its Chav Speak

We don't have Chav's where I live, and yet everyone here will be saying Twenty Fifteen. And we still embrace the Queen's English.

Why is "Two thousand and fifteen" not embracing the Queen's English? People can say either, it's all the same thing at the end of the day.

To be honest though, I'm surprised at the amount of people being shocked at "Two thousand and fifteen" here, I always assumed most people in the UK said it like that and that "Twenty fifteen" was more Americanised. I did say "Nineteen Ninety" etc and not "Nineteen thousand and nighty", though.
