I hate when they ask people to just tweet #CBB because people who don't know the show as well won't know that it stands for celebrity big brother and won't realise it's on...

Its trending in Stoke-On-Trent lol
Its trending in Stoke-On-Trent lol
It's trending at #6 nationally (but get that Stoke-on-Trent promo).

I don't think adding a '2015' would be much help either...

Oh yeah, I just went and had a look and most of the mentions seem to be people disagreeing with it, thankfully.
Still, when you first just see it there in the trending list, it's pretty disgusting.
But anyway, good to see CBB trending on Twitter and Facebook with still over a couple of hours til launch. :)

Do we think are Channel 5 going to the idiotic stunt they usually pull this year, whereby #CBB will trending on Twitter, and then they tell everyone to tweet using the hashtag #CBBUK, so then neither trend as they're both split?

Wouldn't surprise me. They do it every year.
They should learn really and keep it simply #CBB.

Either way, it won't as big a ****-up as The X Factor's final. It was the top trend for the whole finale, but the actual hashtag for for the South African version, "#xfactorsafinal". It's like people just jumped on whatever they saw trending and didn't bother to question what "sa" meant. :laugh2:
But yeah, #CBB would be a fine trend. It's pretty pointless to add UK onto the end, the UK is the only English-language BB that has a regular Celebrity edition. The US and Canada never have, and Australia haven't had it for years. I guess they do it for consistency reasons though, considering the regular series trends as #bbuk.

Nope not trending now. Will probably be trending halfway through the show later.

I didn't know that happened with X Factor :joker:
The BB Twitter page is using #CBB as a hashtag so hopefully they will advertise that on the show without UK on the end.

With it trending does anyone think it will increase ratings?

maybe if it was actually celebrity big brother trending opposed to CBB

Well that didn't trend long Ex On The Beach was trending yesterday and that doesn't start for weeks does it?
With all the trends being about the goings on in France I will be shocked to see if CBB takes over the top 10 like it usually does.
Trending never helps the ratings that much anyway
"#BBUK" was trending for ages when BB15 was on
