View Full Version : Katie Hopkins Am I the only one that hates the way she speaks?

For example “I want to go to the shop” it should be quite quick to say right? Well this is how Katie would probably say it, “I wannnnt tooooo go toooo the shoooooop.”

Am I being harsh here or does anybody else get bugged by the way that she speaks?

:joker: Anybody can speak slowly, doesn't make you educated.

Exactly, if anything it makes her come off quite thick that she can't say the most simplistic of words properly imo.

At least I can understand what she says. Quite often on TV, some people speak with such a horrible accent (Towie for example) that it's next to impossible to understand what they are saying. On the other hand, they come out with such utter tosh that perhaps it's better not to understand it.

I wouldn't be surprised if she hasn't had some elocution lessons to help her enunciate more clearly. My brother speaks very slowly too after taking elocution lessons to help rid him of his accent for his job (he's a pilot and a lot of of overseas air traffic controllers can't understand the thick Manc accent )

I quite like her accent though

Ugh, she has that bumbling middle-class way of speaking. A bit like Boris Johnson

How dare a middle-class person speak like a middle-class person :umm2:

Not every middle class person speaks like that obviously. But the ones like Katie Hopkins who think they're above people do. I bet she'll throw French phrases in the middle of her sentences for no reason at all :pipe:

She went to private school so she is going to sound different. She's hardly speaking like she's above everyone though.

She sounds like she's putting on a fake posh accent.. Matches the persona she's created I suppose
