Keep bringing up his dead Dad at every chance that he can get? Tbf we only do get to see an hour of the day so I'm sure he must be doing stuff that we're not getting to see from the other 23 hours, but he seems to bring up his Dad a lot, I know that he was a legendary Footballer and that he had issues with his Dad, but shouldn't that really only be brought up once or twice on the show, not in almost every highlight show.

I know that sounds heartless but I don't like that tactic of trying to get votes, I find it in poor taste, just as bad as Housemates pretending to be bullied imo.

Hi Mock,
Interesting you see it that way, however actually Mock, I am on a different track there as I love hearing about his Dad,I really enjoy it when Calum starts talking and he has talked on a range of things.

Calum is for me the best,(no pun intended), in there and I hope we hear more of his life and of his relationship with his Dad, that he is willing to share.

So for me, more serious chats like he has engaged in so far would please me and to be fair,he gets asked about his Dad by the others so he cannot really escape talking about him.
I don't think he is playing on his Dad,everyone knows he is George Best's son.
I think he is being himself and that he is a genuinely decent guy overall who perhaps wishes he had been able to have more time with his Dad.

I think the hm are interested in his Dad, what he was like to live with etc. I'm also sure that has followed him around since his youth so he has a choice, embrace his legacy, or reject it. No harm done in my opinion

I dont see him keep going on about him, he talks about him when someone brings his dad up in conversation. Nothing odd about that.

Patsy was interested in his dad and asked him about it, he started off talking about his career options when he was younger and he wasn't the one to randomly start speaking about his dad.

I don't think any of the conversation was in poor taste tbf.

Not at all... He only mentions his Dad when people ask.

Callum's really impressed me...he is my fave.

One of the most interesting parts of the episode last night hearing him talk about his Dad, proves you don't always just need constant drama and arguing to make a good show

I don't get the feel that Calum is vying for votes, and I like hearing about his dad from Calum rather than from gutter press, plus I expect it does him good to be able to talk about his dad to others.

^This,He does get asked a lot about his dad and he is honest and obviously loved him a lot and talks about him with pride,he is fast becoming a fave of mine.

Pretty sure he's always asked about he. He seems pretty humble about it all really

Yeah agree with most of the other people in her tbh, it's not really Callum who brings him up all the time, the other HMs do, he's just answering them, what's wrong with talking about his dad anyway?

I don't think it's right to mention his dad. Leave the guy alone when it comes to this subject.

He is obviously at ease talking about his Dad who he adored and was obviously proud of....I think Callum would make it quite clear if the subject was off limits because he isn't afraid to say what he feels.

He gets asked about his dad, he answers, the fact that he answers honestly and doesn't make hm out to be a saint impresses me.
I reckon Callum will end up in the final, comes across as a nice lad.

I don't see the problem really. I will still talk about my parents when (god forbid..) they die, so why shouldn't he? Plus, I think I have only heard him mention him twice, once when he was asked yesterday, and once in retaliation to Kens comment about his inheritance

Why shouldn't he bring up his dad, not that he has, but why shouldn't he.

His dad no one elses.

I agree he is usually asked about his father but quite honestly apart from his Dad, his own womanizing and boozing, he has little else to say as he hasn't exactly had a worthwhile profession or lifestyle.

I thought the conversation was actually really interesting, can't be easy loosing such a heavy figure in your life that young

He can talk about his dad as he in in the house because of his dad. I don't trust his character though. I think he is a psycho.

I don't recall him talking about his dad unless another housemate has asked to hear about him?

Could you tell me when he just talked about his dad without being prompted...Not that that would be a bad thing in my eyes he loved him. I still talk about people I love who have passed.

..I don't think that Calum talking about George has really taken up much airtime at all but it's understandable that people would ask him about his dad...

I don't think hes brought his dad up unless hes been asked and tbh I`m quite intrested to hear about stories about him and George and as long as it doesn't take up the whole of the hl show Im happy for housemates to bring up their pasts.

I like Calum. Only one possible blot on his copy book though. He seemed mightily pee'd off when Cami (?) teased him about his trainers, saying they were dead common. Is Calum hiding a massive snob complex, or was he just pretending to be mortally offended????

Oh I agree with you that constant drama doesn't always make for a better show.

My favourite conversation of this series was between Alicia, Kavana, and Keith talking about travelling from Manchester to London on the Live Feed.:joker:

I think that he was pretending tbh.

Agree with everyone, he speaks about his dad when asked...nothing more. I would be more than happy for him to talk of nothing else to be honest

Also I found it quite upsetting when he said his dad usually only ever paid attention to him for photo ops :(
