If you watch it carefully Katie only HUGGED Alicia because Cami did. I believe that Cami (being American and pretty forward and at times loud mouthed) was genuinely upset that Alicia had gone to the diary room in tears. Cami professed to be bad arsed and 'out there' and she is doing this at times. When she REALISED how much she had upset Alicia she apologised and hugged her. MISS ****ING STUPID HOPKINS then felt it would show herself in a better light if she hugged her too. The DIFFERENCE being that Cami's hug seemed real Hopkins hug was for show
