Banana-gate Part 2/Katie depriving Alicia of Calum's banana....

...I won't defend Alicia for hiding the two bananas because storing food for yourself in that group situation is something that I really dislike...(although sometimes I do have to hide chocolate myself, otherwise I don't get any...)...but how spiteful of Katie to say that Alicia wasn't allowed Calum's banana when he offered it to her and saying that for him to give it to her had to be a 'conversation'..as in a group decision...everyone had one banana which was theirs so what they do with that banana is entirely up to them...it was just a mean and spiteful thing to do imo because it made absolutely no difference to her whether Alicia was given one by someone else.../thoughts, was Katie in the right or was she just being smug and spiteful..?...

Not sure about snug or spiteful just rather silly which is how it looked. I think the only one to emerge with any credit is Alicia.I mentioned on another thread they knew she was vegetarian and she asked for Bananas when the shopping list was being done so why only order enough for one each.? Rylan said that they had spent a third of the luxury budget on chicken so Alicia was surely entitled to a few extra bananas.!

..yeah I think she saw Alicia as an easy target because all of the females were annoyed about it...(and probably rightfully so because the right thing for Alicia to have done would have been to talk to them all and ask how they felt about her having more bananas as she didn't eat other things the budget was spent on..)...and also because she knows that Alicia is very non confrontational but was worried how she would be perceived when Alicia was crying and had got so upset about it...(and spent time in the DR etc..)...and other housemates were around Alicia and comforting and hugging her so Katie didn't want to be seen as the 'villain'....how very ironic...

I felt really bad for Alicia last night, I can't stand that ganging up on someone like that, especially when it's clealry one of the weakest members of the group. And Katie saying that she only picks on her because she's not very intelligent? Disgusting and cowardly, just what I expect from that woman though

I agree with you, but I suppose in there because there is nowhere to run or hide, some don't want to rock the boat too much for fear of more reprisal if a group forms and starts to gang up on them, probably easier just to go to the diary room to pour your heart out and get it out your system.

Katie was definitely WRONG to say someone couldn't GIVE Alicia their banana as its theirs to do what they want with it but honestly this is blown out of all proportion. Katie is overbearing spiteful and nasty and I have never liked her but there are a lot of strong women in there with Alicia being the weakest by far. SHE needs to STAND up for herself and GROW A pair of balls. She has no problems setting boundaries for her little girl, doing kiss and tell stories and having (god love her) far far too much surgery but she must GET STRONG and fight her corner. Honestly the double standards. Chloe was crying because Jeremy stepped over the line a few nights ago and so many people said it was all an act and she was playing it up. Alicia was crying last night over being hassled over hiding bananas and nearly everyone feels sorry for her. Its a game people and the weakest unfortunately are often picked off so I am hoping Alicia will get more 'neck' and people will stop feeling sorry for her.
