[BBC man Nick Robinson called Russell Brand “a sanctimonious t**t” during a run-in with the leftie comic.
The Beeb’s political editor was livid with the funnyman-turned-revolutionary for refusing to give him an interview.
When Robinson confronted him on why he was dodging his grilling about democracy, Brand, 39, fled and called on minders to get rid of him.
The row happened after Brand’s appearance on BBC1’s Question Time last month in Canterbury.
A witness said: “Nick Robinson was clearly furious with Russell Brand for brushing him off. He used quite colourful language.”
On the TV show, multi-millionaire Brand said he would stand for Parliament but was “scared I’d become one of them”.
On his Radio 4 programme yesterday, Robinson said: “In one respect Russell Brand is already like them;
he doesn’t like answering awkward questions”. ]
