This show is currently on in America but I checked Digitalspy and it says it's starting here on February 19. Anywayyy, I really suggest you watch this programme. It's amazing. It's really good if you like mystery etc. It's gonna be on Sci Fi channel, mondays at 10pm, so I definitley suggest you check it out.

There's also a double bill when it starts, which is good because the pilot isn't exactly the best episode.

Its about:

The series tells the story of several people who "thought they were like everyone else... until they woke with incredible abilities" such as telepathy, time travel and flight. These people soon realize they have a role in preventing a catastrophe and saving mankind.

anyone who has not seen the series or visited the homepage should check out the excellent graphic novells that are kind of showing character backgrounds. they are free and kind of enhance but not "spoil" the shows plot. they are lovely to look at and available as pdf files from here........

Channel 6 has picked up the rights to air Heroes in Ireland - and is wasting no time in putting the show on air.

The deal with NBC Universal was unveiled yesterday (Monday) and covers the first-run, free TV rights to the first season of the cult series in Ireland.

C6 founder Michael Murphy said of the acquisition: "New shows are always a risk, but I think the strength of the ensemble cast coupled with its imaginative storyline will win fans in Ireland just as it has in the US."

The first two episodes air this Thursday (March 1) from 9.30pm.

OMG, Heroes was awsome! I watched it over my cousin (Sophie's) last night! My favourite charecters were that woman who had the boy and stripped for the camera, the son of the Indian professer and Sophie and I liked Hiro, the Japanese man who can bend time and space...he was class. :thumbs:

The BBC2 launch of critically acclaimed US drama Heroes last night helped power the channel to what is believed to be its biggest peaktime ratings win over BBC1 since 1994.
BBC2's superhero series, which has already been broadcast on cable and satellite channel Sci Fi earlier this year, launched from 9pm with an impressive 4.3 million viewers and a 19% share.

The second episode ran immediately afterwards at 9.40pm, and that picked up an audience of 4 million viewers, according to unofficial overnights.

BBC2's new fantasy drama seems to have taken viewers away from Channel 4's Big Brother and BBC1's Crimewatch Solved 2007.

Between 9pm and 10pm, Big Brother scored 3.3 million viewers and Crimewatch pulled in 3 million.

This is believed to be the worst performance for any Crimewatch or Crimewatch Solved programme for at least four years.

Heroes was also not far behind the winner of the 9pm slot, ITV1's 90-minute drama Wire in the Blood, which averaged 4.8million viewers.

Just in case fans had not had enough of the superhero drama, at 10.20pm it was followed by a ten-minute behind-the-scenes show called Heroes Unmasked, which won 3.1 million viewers for BBC2.

Billed as "geek heaven" by TV critics, and one of the few hits of last autumn's new US TV season on NBC, Heroes was in danger of overheating from pre-premiere hype.

But the BBC's gamble on the show, which director general, Mark Thompson, has described as "wholesome" and reportedly cost the corporation £500,000 an episode, appears to have paid off.

However, it was given a big helping hand by a special hour-long edition of Top Gear, scheduled before Heroes last night in the BBC2 8pm hour.

Top Gear - Polar Special drew 4.5 million viewers and a 21% audience share. These are good figures for BBC2, although below Top Gear's stellar audiences of up to 8 million for the series broadcast earlier this year after presenter Richard Hammond's recovery from a life threatening high speed crash.

The BBC2 car show froze out National Lottery Jet Set on BBC1, which averaged 1.9 million viewers between 8pm and 8.30pm; and Vet Safari, which drew 1.8 million between 8.30pm and 9pm.

BBC2 beat BBC1 last night in peaktime, between 7pm and 10.30pm, by what is believed to be the biggest margin for 13 years.

Although BBC2 beat its bigger sibling a couple of times last year in peaktime when The Apprentice was on, plus on July 31 2005 when BBC2 had a combination of Coast and Top Gear, those were tiny wins of around less than half a share point.

Last night BBC2 beat BBC1 in peak by 2.4 share points, according to unofficial overnights.

The last time the gap was larger was June 27 1994. That day Wimbledon and a World Cup game between Germany and South Korea meant BBC2 beat BBC1 by 10.7 share points.

Meanwhile, another US import, Brothers and Sisters, fared less well on Channel 4 in the ratings than its compatriot in the 10pm hour.

The sixth episode of Brothers and Sisters last night averaged around 1 million viewers - down by 500,000 viewers on the series opener.

This explains Heroes day on Radio 1 and the total flogging of it everywhere. They mentioned it every 3 or 4 minutes all day.

Yeah, it was meant to come back in the US with new episodes 2 months ago - but instead they're making a 30 episode season three starting September.

I am getting the boxset of series 1 of Heroes tomorrow. I haven't even watched an episode yet, but I know I will love it. My uncle says it is fantastic and I've heard loads of good reviews, it sounds like my cup of tea. Can't wait to really get into it. I'll defenitley be watching the premiere of season 2 on thursday. I look forward to watching the whole of season 1!

First episode I've watched in full (I read up on Series 1), and I loved it.

Intruiged to know more about the Company Man that Suresh met...turning things to gold seems a pretty crappy ability (but I suppose quite useful if you're in need of cash :tongue:)

The second season wasn't as bad as people made out, it was good but nowhere near as good as season 1
Just when the season was getting good it ended
I found it hard to remember what had happened in season 1 and thats why season 2 for me wasn't as good
The finale was a let down but I can't wait for the return of Sylar with his powers for season 3.

The BBC has picked up the lifetime rights to air Heroes in the UK.

The broadcaster has signed a deal with US studio NBC Universal to show all future seasons of the cult drama, staving off a potential rival bid from Sky.

"As long as Heroes is on in the US, we will show Heroes," BBC acquisitions head George McGhee told Digital Spy. "It's a long-term partnership, and I think that was the right thing to do. [NBC] are really pleased that we've got Heroes - and they don't want it going to a commercial broadcaster."

The BBC plans to air the upcoming third season on BBC Two and BBC Three from late September, just days after its US broadcast.

Sky can't get it and more Heroes coming in September, can't wait.

has anyone got the series 2 dvd boxset. Preety good with alot of extras. There is a great "Alternative" kind of ending to the final episodes and what the plot was going to be if there wasnt a writers strike.
