His lack of awareness is pretty surprising really, he seems to be continuously misjudging what the public will/won't like, who they will/won't be voting for. For a bloke who's made his name off celebrity gossip and celebrity reputations he's often pretty wide of the mark

He doesn't know the British audience though. American audiences tend to love the drama makers in reality TV, I'm guessing he reckons the Brits are the same.

The best bit was the way he said ' I can assure you' just before the quote of series. I want him to be in the final. He's the only one who's bought drama on practically every day of the series.
