Boyhood deserves the Oscar for best picture imo (out of the ones I've seen but it would be hard to top it)
I would say Michael Keaton for best actor eventhough I didn't like the movie

Wanted Ethan to win but I watched Whiplash a couple of weeks back and can't argue with the decision to give it to JK Simmons really, he was brilliant

Shaun
23-02-2015, 02:15 AM

Mokka
23-02-2015, 02:20 AM
I actually like that song now

Shaun
23-02-2015, 02:21 AM
yeah I don't really understand why it's Oscar nominated tbh, it's a very generic earworm tune, but if it means Tegan and Sara (and the Lonely Island) being oscar-winners then I'm happy

Mokka
23-02-2015, 02:26 AM
They didn't write it or sing it on the soundtrack did they?

Shaun
23-02-2015, 02:27 AM
I'm sure it was in the film, on a TV show at the beginning IIRC

Shaun
23-02-2015, 02:31 AM

Mokka
23-02-2015, 03:55 AM
This is the most unentertaining Oscar's I have ever watched

Shaun
23-02-2015, 04:01 AM
yeah no LOL moments really, just Patricia Arquette stealing the show

Best film and Best Actor are still too close to call.

DrunkerThanMoses
23-02-2015, 04:31 AM
Think Keaten will win Best Actor but after watching both performances I thought Eddie was better

Looks more likely Birdman might just win best film

Mokka
23-02-2015, 04:33 AM
I also think it will go to Keaton for Hollywood political reasons... But I think it should go to Eddie

Shaun
23-02-2015, 04:34 AM
I thought Eddie was an obvious winner, but Michael would be a lovely surprise

Mokka
23-02-2015, 04:35 AM
Michael would be in no way surprising

Locke.
23-02-2015, 04:35 AM
Get in, really pleased Imitation Game has won one

DrunkerThanMoses
23-02-2015, 04:37 AM
I thought Eddie was an obvious winner, but Michael would be a lovely surprise

I still think it is a close call, I never thought either was favourite to win it; gut is saying Micheal will win it, I personally felt Eddie gave a better performance. I didnt think much of Birdman tbh

Shaun
23-02-2015, 04:37 AM
another lovely speech. Oblivious to all of these movies though

I think Julianne is a given

Locke.
23-02-2015, 04:49 AM
Redmayne 100% deserves this, but I'm now fully expecting Michael Keaton to do it considering Birdman is winning everything bloody else

Shaun
23-02-2015, 04:49 AM

Shaun
23-02-2015, 05:22 AM
well I suppose it's to be expected, the winner of Best Picture has been pretty undeserved for many years now...

Argo was not 2012 Best Picture material (should've been Django Unchained, Wreck-It Ralph or Life of Pi)
12 Years a Slave was not the best film nominated last year (Her or Dallas Buyer Club were)
The Artist was not the best of 2011 (Midnight in Paris or The Help were)
The King's Speech was not worthy in 2010 (TOY STORY BLOODY 3!!!!! or at least Black Swan)
The Hurt Locker in 2009... nope... (Up/Inglourious Basterds/District 9/An Education all better)

i'll stop now...

women have already got wage equality so theyre lying.....its mor eliberal drivel....if a man and a woman do the exact same job to the same standard they get paid the same or else theyre allowed to sue under the law and get a handsome compensation.......what this idiot arquette is demanding is that all women wages across all 330 million americans must be exactly the same as mens? that's communism, you may as well as for equal wages across every single Chinese Pakistani African American old young disabled person across the entire western world..what nonsense. its a free market not a communist one....why cant all actors be paid the same eh patricia? liberal drivel...im amazed they aren't asking for more subsidies to make everything equal....

u play to the audience and avoid the truth.......how do women and men get the same pay for everything? how are you going to arrange that then? slow handclap for dezzy

Well, it's quite simple. You take the wages that people with a penis earn and then you pay the same amount to those strange people with a vagina who, for some reason, can do the same job and hours as the people with penises can but earn less money for doing so.

e explained to you slowly....that doesn't happen and IF it ever does the person being underpaid has the law on their side and they can sue for compensation. this rarely happens because your example almost never happens, its a lie a myth made up by idiotic loony liberals. name me one right a man has that a woman doesn't have in America?
