Celebrity Big Brother 2015: Katie Price 'gets £500,000' to enter house

Katie Price is set to scoop £500,000 to enter Celebrity Big Brother 2015.

Channel 5 have confirmed a new Celebrity Big Brother housemate will be joining the house tonight, following the ejection of two contestants in the first week.

However they’ve refused to reveal their identity yet, with rumours that Katie Price has signed a six-figure deal to join the series.

If Katie does enter there could be fireworks as she’s had clashes with a number of other celebs on the programme not least Katie Hopkins.

Katie P slammed the former Apprentice candidate after she criticised her child’s name, saying: “Katie Hopkins can shove it.

“She’s vile about everyone. It’s not worth talking about her.”

The Sun newspaper reports that Katie P “can’t wait” to enter the house.

“Bosses have been after Katie for years but she’s always said no. But this time they were desperate after axing Jeremy and Ken and went to her with an offer she just couldn’t refuse,” an insider said of her half a million pound deal.

The source added to the tabloid this morning: “Katie is keen to settle scores with housemates, particularly Katie Hopkins. She is looking forward to telling the columnist just what she thinks of her.

“Now she has decided to appear she can’t wait to get into the house.”

The Celebrity Big Brother 2015 live show starts at 9PM tonight hosted by Emma Willis.

This evening will also see the first eviction of the series as Alicia Douvall, Alexander O’Neal, Chloe Goodman and Michelle Visage face the first public vote.

That's what I don't get, they could spend 50K get a couple more Z listers and the ratings would still go up with the curent mix. Seems like a waste, I am happy with the people they already have in.

its all down to advertising revenues at the end of the day, so either the series has already increased that potential to warrant an extra 500k spend now, or they believe kp will more than generate that by her arrival

An ex-footballer who wasn't even 'top drawer' and who had a reputation for violence on and off the pitch, who gets lucky and becomes a film star and mega millionaire.

Two 'Z' grade singers who become famous and mega millionaires despite any lack of real talent.

And a non-entity Essex girl who becomes phenomenally rich and famous through having two oversize plastic bags of silicone surgically implanted in her breasts then showing them off.

Oh pity all our poor kids who walk the straight and narrow, sacrifice years of leisure time in order to bury their noses in text books and get educated, then borrow £20 to £30,000 in order to go to university and further that education and gain qualifications to secure a career.

It's no wonder that 'Wag' is now the most popular answer by young girls when asked what they want to be when they grow up.

There is not one 'celebrity' on the planet worth paying £500,000 to for a maximum of 3 weeks work (if you can call it work) no matter how 'entertaining' they might be (and usually, the higher the expectation of 'fireworks', the damper a squib is the reality).

I wouldn't pay Katie Price £500,000 to sleep with her for 3 weeks never mind to appear on CBB.

Need to ensure they maintain those ratings even now the immediate drama of the Ken and Jeremy ejections has died down, probably worth chucking a lot of money at it to try and ensure this remains a really stand out and memorable series
