One year ago, Laura Barns (Heather Sossaman) committed suicide due to ridicule received over an embarrassing video of her passed out at a party. Six of her classmates were especially horrible in their treatment of her, as they were unpopular and Laura was the most popular girl in school. Tonight, those same six classmates have decided to get together to talk with one another via Skype, but are ill-prepared when an uninvited seventh person logs onto Laura's old Skype chat and shows that they know quite a bit about the prior year's events.

It's a bit more relatable than recent horrors mainly because of how it's filmed etc

The themes surrounding cyber bullying are handled a lot better than I would have assumed as well

I mean in general. Some of the films I've heard of lately are just constant torture and bloodfests with no real plotline. I haven't seen Unfriended yet but I've seen films like PA and the Exorcist. Those are the types of horror that I prefer. The Woman in Black is one of my favourites (no blood in that film whatsoever, too!)

It's filmed entirely like a person seeing things happen via Skype and other social media.

I love horror, but I hated this - I found it incredibly boring and there was nobody to root for, they all came across as idiots and I picked out who would die next every scene. It's kiddy horror imo

Watched it a few months ago, it was alright. I like how it was constantly on the skype chat or whatever it's called. I probably would've found it better if I was watching it alone
